When you all have gotten off of dope, oxy, opana etc. and waited the 24 hrs and got onto suboxone.
About how long did it take you to start feeling better?
Like I get sick, take my sub and sleep for some hours, wake up in half-withdrawl kinda n ride it out for 2-3 days before I start to feel "normal" again...
How long does it take you to start to feel ok again?
And if you were on daily sub, then relapsed for however long you did (please specify if this applies) then got back on subs, was the transition period as intense? Any shorter or longer?
Iv gotten on subs about 3 times this month and used like 2 days after each time :/
Tommorow il hit the 24 hour mark and get back on I just HATE having this transition period :/ scares the shit outta me. It even keeps me using 90% of the time because I dont want to have to sit in withdrawl and feel likee shit for 3 days to get back on suboxone :/
P.s. U guys have any advice for me to help any with the switch? Would be great!
Thanks!! Lites.![]()
When you go to a doctor to get on subs can you go in while your still comfortably on opiates and walk out with a script for subs? Or do you have to be in withdrawls for 24 - 48hrs. and actually ready to take the subs and have the doctor give you the first dose?
I have cold turkied off about 40mg snorted OpanaER per day and at the 24 hour mark it would have probably been dangerous for me to drive myself to the doctor and I definately wouldn't have enjoyed sitting in the office and getting an exam, etc. I think it would be perferable to get the script before entering withdrawls so I just wanted to know if that's possible, or how it usually works. Thanks.
Thanks, that sounds like a good taper although I will probably have to do 4mg per day to start as I'm on 100-120mg of oxy a day. Would three weeks be too long to stay on the bupe? I just don't want to have a nasty W/D from the bupe, you know? Maybe this:
Day 1-3: 4mg..........12mg
Day 3-7: 2mg..........20mg
Day 7-13: 1mg.........26mg
Day 13-26: .5mg.......29mg
Day 26-30: .25mg.....30mg
OR if wanted to just use my 24mg suboxone and save my 6mg bupe I could suck it up for a couple days and do this:
Day 1-2: 4mg..........4mg
Day 2-7: 2mg.........14mg
Day 7-13: 1mg.......20mg
Day 13-26: .5mg....23mg
Day 26-30: .25mg...24mg
Now lets see if i could stick to that, lol!!! After i jump off the sub, will I be able to work? Or will I still be too sick to work?
- ROXIanne! - I drink about 90 - 120 ounces of water (3/4 - 1 gallon) daily and I am on 16 mg subutex daily and I pee just fine. First off, drink more water, 90 percent of people are chronically dehydrated and just think it's normal because they have lived with the symptoms for soooo long. Same thing with eating the average unhealthy sickeningly bad for you American Diet. It's horribly wrong it just feels normal because so many people have settled for horribly wrong as their "normal." I drink plenty of water, eat a paleolithic / primal diet - http://www.marksdailyapple.com/ - and also I drink a lot of water and my pee runneth freely. I also think of olive oil being expeller pressed when I need to pee but can't. I promise if you drink 1 oz of water daily for every kilogram (2.2 lbs) of body weight and this is still giving you a problem then you need to go see a doctor because you probably have some other health issue causing the urinary retention. Follow my advice about just the water and see what happens, I dare you. People are very quick to write off good healthful eating / drinking advice because McDonald's is soooo fuckin good and bc the think they already have their diet / water consumption under good control but I urge you to look very deeply at these questions before pointing your finger at the sky or in the toilet at your inability to pee. Hope you have a great day and good luck peeing.I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on how to combat urinary retention cause by suboxone use, for me its harder to pee on subs than any full agonist I've tried. Its gotten so bad that I have to sit down every time and takes 10-15 before I even start peeing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
