Thanks but I need to know how long the manufacturer issues the expiration after they are made. What is the maximum expiration period for new strips according to the manufacturer.

IE I found some empty strip wrappers that have an expiration of 1/14 and if they were taken after 1/1/13 I really really need to know.

RB's PDF on suboxone is huge and I can't find anything anywhere that lists this info.

Why do you need to know this? I'm confused.

Naloxone will degrade naturally, and will do so even quicker when exposed to light/heat/air. Buprenorphine is way more stable and has a longer shelf life.
 
I did two of them around 36 hours after my last bupe. I wasn't planning on doing it, but my buddy told me he would give two more 30s for me the save if I joined the party. I probably only felt half the effect of the 60mgs. It honestly reminded me of when I was heavily using and only get a tiny buzz off a couple pills. I guess the junkie in me is still just as alive after 3 months on bupe, cause I couldn't say no to trying...

Since I started bupe, my goal was to get myself out of the everyday cycles of needing 300mgs per day to get me decent. The doctor gave me 32mgs/day but the most I took was 16 for about 3 days and then switched to 8 mgs (I have a massive stockpile in case my doctor gets pissy about me smoke weed). I don't plan on going back to daily use of pills, although I know it will be hard with my history. But I honestly didn't want to be naive enough to say 'I'll never touch H/pills again'. I enjoy doing drugs and hope to get my opiate/opioid use to the same levels as my mdma/coke/lsd use. And I normally might do 2 of those in a month. Any I setting myself up to fail guys? Or do ya think it's possible? I've heard all the normal docs tell me it's impossible, but how do you guys feel?

I swear by the Hi-Techs...they're actually made in France by EthyPharm, marketed to Arrow Pharma, then distributed to Midlothian, then finally to High-Tech Pharmacal. I always get them at Walgreens, it's $193.57 for 60 8mgs. The 8mgs are the same size as the 2 (think the size of an M&M mini), and they have the least amount of filler. They are great to use sublingually, as they disintegrate very fast and actually have a bit of sweetener (mannitol) so there's no chalky taste at all. Personally, when I go back and try the Roxane or Tevas from previous scripts, I can tell that they aren't nearly as strong, at least sublingually. The Tevas are easy on the nose, but not as good as the Hi-Techs. I got the Roxanes first, but I finally persuaded my pharmacist to special order the Hi-Techs and now I think those and the Tevas are the only 2 brands they carry...cheaper places like Costco or WalMart ALWAYS have the Roxane, so I'm willing to pay the extra 40 bucks for a little 8mg power-packed tablet.

It's probably the placebo effect, but even knowing that I still hate taking Roxanes because of my bias. I do mine as 2mg IM now after a 16mg per day IV run. Less REALLY is more, and since I'm trying to kick my needle fixation, 1 mg twice daily in my biceps and thighs is even better as IV'ing 16mgs per day. Plus, I've been able to really get a great surplus going ever since I went IM / nasal. The Hi-Techs are the best brand due to way less filler and better breakdown, sublingually and in water. Still use a micron filter, even though I use a miniscule amount at a time and they filter clear as day every time. When I take them as directed, I still feel like I get more out of them because of the smaller size and better absorption because they don't make me salivate and break down in about 30 seconds.

this is completely normal and not a sign of failure. most of us have gone thru similar situations early on in the treatment and if you're lucky, you realize pretty quickly how big of a waste of $$ it is to try and get high, and figure you're much better off just staying on the sub and not straying-- that should be your main goal anyway, assuming you WANT to get clean and no one is forcing you.

i think most docs continue to script a vague amount of sub to patients even when they know you're taking way lower doses, the good ones anyway, who know it's better for you to have a stockpile in case you need it instead of going back to another DOC. i know this is also a diversion issue but that's another story.

no one would realistically expect you to say you'll never touch H/pills again, but to have a certain number of times per month you find excusable already is, IMO, setting yourself up for failure. it's not much different from when you started to use drugs, saying "once a month isn't a problem..." and that turns into twice a week, and ultimately every day. i know some people on this board have tried similar usage habits but off the top of my head i don't know who if any have maintained it long term.

My opinion: don't do meth/coke.

It's really very possible to use other drugs but not opiates though. I've been able to use LSD, DMT, cannabinoids, and buprenorphine and stay clean from heroin for a long, long time.

At other points I was also able to use meth/cocaine while on Suboxone, and stayed clean from heroin, but I do not recommend it. It's just not worth it IMO.
 
Quick question about people who say they use alcohol as a potentiator for bupe...are you referring to actually drinking alcohol or using alcohol-based mouthwash before sublingual use? I know it sounds dumb, but I don't drink alcohol at all. However, when I go SL after brushing my teeth and brushing under my tongue vigorously (and flossing to the point of some bleeding gums), then placing the tablet at the very bottom of my tongue, I feel I get better absorption than I would otherwise. I know drinking + pretty much any drug will potentiate it, just wondering if anyone else has agitated the area under the tongue with mouthwash and brushing for better results?
 
Possibly silly question, what does it mean on the film packets when it says 8mg/2mg? Is there only one film in each pack or are there 4 2mg?

It seems the film is tiny in comparison to the package its in...I can find measurements for the film (22mm 13mm) but none for the packaging itself.

Anyone got a ruler handy hehe? Thanks!

Didn't really wanna put all this out there but my girl got switched to subutex before the first of the year and I need to know (among other reasons) if she is taking the strips on top of the pills, getting shit off the street etc....

I found some empty strip wrappers with dates of jan 2014 on them. So if strips distributed before january of 2013 don't say 2014 on them we're gonna have fuckin problems lol.

why would you need to know this? gonna make counterfeits or something? FYI they taste nothing like the Listerine strips.

Ahhhh I get the reasoning now. I was really having a hard time understanding WHY you needed this info. And let me check all of my strips that are from before this month...

Damn bro I really hate to be the bearer of this news, but it looks like you guys got fuckin problems. You're right, they all are dated a year later as far as I'm seeing here. Out of the 50+ strips I have saved up that I never used (both 8 and 2 mg strips) throughout all of last year, not one says 2014.

I gotta choose my battles here. I post enough about my life on here and we all know why she would be on the fucking subutex...

I take some of her subutex. Thats not the issue though.

Its the other shit, the chick she gets them off of is prescribed to klons and adderal, and gets bars. So is she getting other shit. Thats what worries me.

The nalaxone worries me, and her talking to people who can get their hands on shit that she can't afford to be getting into worries me.

I love the girl. Thats what this comes down to. This is the shit we fight about because I'm unfortunately a brillant scheming fucking junkie who knows all the tricks. Its not telling me about it that worries me.
 
Whats up? This is my 1st time on here i was hoping someone could help me i just lost my job & ins. I really don't want to start doing dope again is there any help out there for someone trying to stay on suboxone without ins?

Whats wrong with loperamide?

And yes there are options for lower cost/no insurance suboxone programs. Herw to help I've seen advertised is a website by RB I believe.
