jamesbrown was right, im half way through the first month, and usually they take 3 months till ur full month take home prescription. my doc said he could do it in two if im good.

After my first day of intake, they gave me a full month's prescription. I don't see why a doctor wouldn't do it earlier, unless he just wants more money out of you.

As far as I'm concerned, for people using micron filters, the strips are probably just as safe for IV use (as long as you can scrape off the white ink - this is the only ingredient that isn't named specifically and I have no idea what they're using for "white ink").

Are you saying that people who micron filter should "scrape the white ink off" becuse the micron filter wont filter it out?....i would think that the micron filter should stop the ink from getting through just like the other inactives, but you know more about this than I do, so im asking you.

what was I right about?......yea, like Captain Heroin said....I got my monthly script the very first day I saw the doctor.

I'm saying I have no idea, because "white ink" could be anything. It's the only item of the inactive ingredients list that is not clear and does not help people determine if they are going to be 1) doing harm to themselves, or 2) have an allergic reaction due to an unknown ingredient within "white ink".

It is likely at least partially titanium dioxide, but this is just a guess on my part.

jamesb you were right that here in canada its more strict in regards to bupe. the doc does not get a cent from me. in canada, clinics are free. its just the meds that cost.

HA! I knew it!....I read it somewhere I just dont remember where.

ya its sorta bs, but methadone was a FUCK no, not doing a 3 year program, and thats clinic every day of it. two months for a take home aint that bad.

yea its just as bad in the US for methadone. I get my suboxone from the doctors at a methadone clinic(allthough its the same as if I was going to a private doc)......and they told me that you have to go there daily for 2 years before they even give you a weeks take home....and your not allowed to fail any of your drug tests during that 2 year period. And then it takes another year to get 2 weeks take home, and then one more year to get a months take home. Atleast thats how it is at the methadone clinic im talkin about.

thats brutal, i dont really c why they put up such high barriers for us addicts to get clean and sober, its so much easier for many people to just use.

That is my thought exactly.

Because I was able to only go once per month, quitting with Suboxone was comfortable, easy, and made me feel secure and safe. I didn't feel subjected to a doctor running unnecessary drug tests, etc. I was in and out in 5 minutes, and other than the intake visit, I have probably only been with the doctor for like less than 1 hour in reality, with each visit amounting to only 5 minutes.

The more visits and more "scrutinizing" doctors do, the less drug addicts want to seek out help in the first place.

That suprises me, because allthough my experience with suboxone doctor has been amazing and I have zero complaints, I spend alot more than 5 minutes with my doctor. Every month i go to get my new prescription, I have to....

1.)Get my blood pressure and other vitals taken, along with my weight.
2.)Take a EXTENSIVE drug test(I think 12 panel...it tests for suboxone specifically as well)
3.)Talk to a counselor about my life for a few minutes, and then the counselor reads me a description of opiate overdose...EVERYTIME...the exact same paragraph
4.)Have atleast a 10 minute talk with the doctor about how my life is going and how the suboxone is still working fine.
5.)Show the doctor my other prescription bottles from my other doctors to prove I actually AM still prescribed benzos.(because I come up positive for them on the UA)
6.)and then schedule another appointment.

ya im there for 30 min or so, appt and talking, prescription, piss test then make a new appt.

when i started i had to go three fucking days in a row.

I think somehtign is wrong with BL because all day/night its been really slow for me sometimes and sometiems when I try to post something it just sits there after I click "Post Quick Reply" and it SLOOOOOOWLY loads but never finishes, so I have to exit out of explorer, and then click on explorer again, go to bluelight, and log back in. But the funny thing is, my post will be posted even though it never loaded when I clicked for it to submit.

And I think this is BL's problem and not my computer because I go to other websites and I have zero trouble with them. And yet, im having trouble with sending posts at BL and loading pages sometimes.

woah thats crazy! there is supposed to be 2-8mg of bupe in that strip that is as thin as a listerine strip!?? damn. perfect for IV actually , hahaha

your right...there probably is ALOT less inactives in these strips. Making it much safer to IV without a micron filter(which we all know most people dont use....were not all Captains;) )

You said you go to a clinic though right?

Some psychiatrists who have their own practice are over-laden with patients who take up all of their time (15 minutes isn't a "lot of time" but for a doctor who sees a lot of patients a day, it is), patients who come back, patients demanding to be seen. This is really common for some people with anxiety disorders and such, so I am pretty sure by the time that the Suboxone doctor sees me, he's happy to have me in and out quickly.

I only had to have my BP taken during intake, and after I dosed Suboxone (he determined I could take more because my BP was still elevated, lol, it's always elevated...:|).

When I was getting prescribed Adderall, that GP did want to take my BP, heart rate, weight, etc, every time I was in there. It was really invasive and I didn't like it. I already know I have hypertension, and if the doctor wanted to give me BP meds he could, it's just not something he expects he has to do for his patients so he didn't. After a while I realized why go through this hassle when I can just shoot meth? More importantly, the GP didn't want to let me try any other medications other than Adderall (wouldn't even consider Adderall XR either - not like I wanted to be on it or anything...).

I do go to a methadone clinic to get my suboxone....but Im not involved in ANY of the "methadone activities".....I dont even speak to the same nurses/desk ladies as the methadone patients. When I go in they treat me just like its a private physician(except for the talk with a counselor), they just have stricter rules because they truly want to help you get clean so they drug test you once a month(which honestly isnt that invasive in my opinion).
