Tapering varies largely based on the individual. There are a lot of variables one needs to take into account. If you use the search engine there are tons of threads about suboxone tapering specificially. But, In order for us to answer this for you, we need to know some basic info..
What was your opiate of choice before going on suboxone, and your daily dose? How long?
How long have you been on suboxone daily?
What is your daily dose ?
How long have you been on your current dose?
Have you tried reducing before?
If you are on 16mg a day right now cutting it to 8 should not be much problem at all. The higher your current dose, the larger you can jump down without much pain.
If you answer those questions we can more accurately write out a proper tapering plan.
Though if you are on suboxone maintenance from a physician, I would discuss this with them first and foremost, and they will help you taper. If they are making you go too fast or too slow, all you have to do is speak up and they will adjust it for you.
