suboxone and heroin question

hey guys its been a while. so for the past couple months ive been given 8mg sub strips to take daily. that works fine and found it to be most effective the longer you let it sit in your mouth so i actually can feel a tiny buzz. anyways, i still like to dabble once a week at most and do a little heroin. My problem is though, that i barely feel it and its takes alottttt to get nicely high. im not an idiot, i dont take a sub that day so thats not the problem. if i know im doing heroin the next day i usually cut my dose to 4 or even 2mg and usually give it around 30 hours before i do the dope. I can go through 4 bags in one rail (btw i snort it), and have no problem and still feel sober. i might feel a slight buzz for a couple of mins but then nothing.. I dunno its like my tolerance is fucked. any of you guys have this problem or know of it? thanks
 
:o are you serious 72 hours?? how is that even possible? im usually feeling pretty shitty on the 24th hour, i cant imagine waiting out until 72.
 
Because the sub blocks any normal opiates. It takes 72 hours to clear your system allowing heroin to work again. It's either that or waste most of your heroin and quite possibly jack your tolerance right up.

Not if he is only on ~2mg - I took 2mg/day for months and still did dope whenever I wanted and would only do a 1 bag shot and get a fat rush. When bupe is used at that low of levels the blockaid effect isn't normally there.
 
Hm yea I'll have to try to be constant on 2mg a couple days before doing it then. But 72 hours without anything is real rough to wait
 
I'm back on Methadone now, but 2 or 3 years ago was using regularly the day after taking 4mg subutex (suboxone) - would still get a rush off my hit, but found that it seemed to wear off within about 1/2 hour, seemed like I could almost feel the gear struggling with the subs!. You're probably best giving it two days if you think its worth the discomfort.
 
thanks rattles, thats what i usually do, but i dont mainline, i snort it and dont feel much unfortunately :/

well madog11, i like being on subs so i dont have to do dope everyday and the fact i can live a somewhat much more normal life. the problem is i still like to get high. Opiates.. well specifically heroin has always been my DOC for the past 3 years or so. But to be honest, every time ive done it recently i felt barely anything and could easily go through a bundle which is very discouraging to do so. i keep thinking that maybe next time itll work and ill get that high that i used to feel. Now hearing this that ill have to wait over two days to feel it nicely I really dont even think its worth it. itll be too much of being sick and uncomfortable just to get high and then go back on subs the next day. i hope that ive explained how i feel correctly, so you can understand.
 
That's exactly the same thing I do too.. I made the mistake of letting the subs out my system once and my h tolerance went through the roof.. getting back on them wasn't a picnic but tapering is so easy that I'm able to enjoy a bag whenever I want one. I totally get where you're coming from.
 
ah thank you K88ABY im glad im not the only one having this problem. you said youre able to enjoy a bag whenever now, so how are you able to do it? Thats basically what i want to do is be able to do a couple here and there once in a while.
 
Kidnapster, I know what you mean about keeping it under your tongue longer, i've done that and I can't say for sure it works better, but sometimes it does give me more of a "buzz". Try dosing only 2-4mg whether or not you plan to dabble, try it for a few days because you may find it's just as effective as 8mg. Less is more sometimes with suboxone and in smaller amounts it may release the Pro Drug Norbuprenorphine which could give you a significant "high". Be safe
 
Yes I'm able to have a bag whenever, in fact I rarely go a day without one.. I've talked about this a lot lately and the key (for me anyway) is to taper your bupe as quickly as possible.. I'm a girl btw (we're shit at rattling) but if I go mad on an H binge, in order to get back onto subs I take no more, no less than 4mg (subutex)... Within a week I can get myself down to 0.5mg a day then if I fancy some gear I can have some and still get a nice nod on.
I should also mention that the majority of the time I snort my bupe, as the taste really is grim. That way as well I can feel it wear off about 7-10 hours after I've had a small dose. Basically I treat it like this... I wake up feeling shit and if I have no H I'll do a minimal amount of bupe... then when I feel that familiar shiver creep in, I'll do a bag. Simple.
That's not to say that without any bupe in my system I would feel more gouchy than I actually do, but a nice nod is good enough.
 
wow actually thats pretty much what i was looking for K88ABY. i too have snorted bupe and even at small doses snorting it is effective. so i think thats what im gonna do from now on. low doses of subs so when i want, ill be able to do a littling dabbling. thank you!
 
You got it dude... that's my thinking exactly.. thing as well with bupe its true what they say.. less IS more. There really is no need for me to take any more than 4mg that first time, just to kick it into my system, then I can half it daily without feeling ill at all... then when you do start to rattle, you can enjoy your gear just the same.
 
The last time I tried to feel heroin over my subs, I took a 24-32 hour break only taking 2mg or 4mg at most some days (2mg portions though)... well I shot .2 of some fire dope and woke up on my hard wood soaked in cold sweat, an awful headache, and a mouth full of vomit.

I learned my lesson. Suboxone maintenance is for quitting and that's just what I'll do.

wow thats crazy. ive never come close to feeling that from doing dope after subs. the most it would do is just not work
 
yea man its just the subs doin that... you gotta give it quite some time like 3 days and ur STILL no gunna get ur full rush... this is because the buprenorphine binds to ur opiod receptors more than any other opiate... so it overrides heroin.. it just wont let it in... sucks i no cuz im on sub maintenance too .. i get off two days before i wanna do dope and i do a bundle n it works aightt... this is why i want to get on SUB U TEX.... this is just buprenorphine with no nalaxone like the suboxone has.. my doctor wouldnt prescribe it tho... the bitch lol

Even if you were on Subutex instead of Suboxone, you'd still have to wait just as long. There is no difference between Subutex and Suboxone for that matter. Your doc probably won't give you Subutex because of the naxalone which is in Suboxone but not Subutex. Supposedly naxalone was added to make it abuse proof.
