I am a sixteen year old girl and was advised by my therapist to look into suboxone clinics, but she she nor I know how old you have to be to be put on suboxone.

Does anyone know the the minimum age you have to be?

It will depend on your location.

More so it will depend on the doctor. I suspect many might be reluctant but I have seen pretty young people on subs before. I'm not aware that this isnspecifically prohibited by law anywhere though, but I believe technically sub is FDA approved only for adults. Which doesn mean it wont be prescribed ever to minors but some drs/clinics might think twice before doing so. Good luck in your search. I waited many years later but suboxone helps me bunches

In the United States, Suboxone is indicated for patients age 16 and older. That said, it will depend on the doctor/clinic's own policies as well.

Yeah typically its 16 years old and older. I'm willing to bet that if you're truly addicted at a younger age, with your parents permission, you can be subscribed Suboxone.
