suboxone after oxy if not addicted?

I know if one is an opioid addict and takes suboxone too soon, they go into PW. Now, I'm not currently addicted to anything, and I took a 30mg roxicodone a few hours ago. If I take some sub tonight, am I at risk for negative effects possibly included PW? Or perhaps it will just not work? Thanks.

Subs can get you high if you don't have a tolerance but IMO the high sucks compared to full opiates like oxycodone. I'm just guessing really but if you don't have an addiction then it won't send you into percipitated withdrawals but it will still rip all the oxycodone off the receptors so you won't be feeling that anymore and just be left with a crappy suboxone buzz. If I were you I'd just save the sub for later so you won't waste that oxy.

Some people get sick from suboxone if they have no tolerance. Not sick like withdrawal but sick like took too much of an opiate and feel like shit and start puking, get a massive headache, etc. People don't realize how strong bupe is even at really low dosages.

Just snort a little tiny line and wait a while, less is more with sub if you aren't on maintenance and want to catch a buzz. Like 1 mg at a time, then wait a while for it to kick in.

what lozgod said. Before even getting into opiates i first tried 8mg suboxone since my roommate was on them. the taste alone got me sick and once the "high" kicked in i got very nauseous. bupe is actually very powerful, something you might not expect.

I didn't take it as I left before there were any responses. I took the 30mg with the hope of getting high, but I didn't feel anything. I used to be dependent on oxy. So basically I wanted a strong opiate high for NYE, but played it safe instead.

Last week I snorted 8mg of sub over about 30 hours and was high for two days, so yeah, I can get mad high on suboxone now. I was on sub maint. for about 9 months in 2009 into early 2010, so I know what it's like for suboxone to just get one well, at any dose.

Thanks everyone.

no, dont take a sub the same day as oxy.

if you can get high on 30mg of oxycodone, i wouldnt be messing around with suboxone...

buperenorphine is a very powerful drug. iv seen kids extensivly barf for 12 hours from snorting .2mg....

lol believe it.

im talking about people who arent dependant on opiates.

and this kid probably tried oxycodone once or twice and hadnt for a few months at the time

Oh come on, how could anybody feel a thing from 0.2mg of buprenorphine. That is stupid.

Where'd it say .2mg bupe before you did? I missed that. I've been on bupe for over a year. My dr even wrote me Subutex so i could afford the generic. I get Suboxone free now through a patient's assistant program. Each Dr can have , i think, 5 low income , no insurance havin people on the program.
It wouldn't hurt to ask your doc or receptionist for more info. I get 16 mg / month free! I only like to take little 1mg bumps taking care to just barely sniff it. the trick is that you want no drip. it all absorbs in the mucuc membranes. if you taste it, chances are you'll get sick. wait a short time and do the other 1/4 pill. it's not the best opioid high, but it does keep the sickness away.

^ people with no tolerance can IV 0.2 of bupe and get high. I doubt you could get high of .2 any other way tho.

Intranasal can be up to 50% absorbtion so if injecting .2mgs will get you hi then .1 may be able to as well which would be 50% of .2mgs. As stated multiple times, bupe is powerful.

People underestimate it's power including doctors. I think that one day it will join the ranks of drugs that reult in multi-million dollar class action settlements due to it's long withdrawal and extremely long PAWS. No one knows has done scientific studies on how a partial agonist affects the brain long term after using it for months and years at a time. Plus with the K antagonism, the rebound effect once it is discontinued results in severe depression.

Stuff is poison IMO. I think it should be used as a short term detox drug followed up with intensive outpatient/inpatient treatment. Honestly I'd like to see detoxing go back to the old school and still with treating the individual symptoms with drugs like clonidine, a benzo, immodium AD, and nutritional treatments that give the brain building blocks for endorphins as well as short term low dose naltrexone therapy once withdrawal is complete.

No, it's not. After I was clean for over a year I used my old Suboxone script to get high a few times a week, and a single 2mg pill would last me well over a month.

I would break of tiny little sand-size pieces that couldn't have been more than .2mg and I'd have a nice little functional buzz going all day long (snorted).

I once gave my ex-girlfriend a tiny speck of Suboxone sublingually thinking she'd get a nice little buzz off it and instead she spent the next 6 hours in the bathroom puking every 10 minutes (goddamn was she ever pissed at me over that).

There's a company called Temegesic I think that makes .2mg pills for pain patients...I believe it's only available in Europe though.

In the U.S. we have Buprenex which is an IV formulation. It comes in 0.3mg ampules.

I've never been able to get high from Suboxone. Probably because I was a methadone/heroin addict before being put on it. Once I go down to 1mg of Suboxone I start to feel withdrawals. I was completely off it for 5 days after being put on it 2 years ago. Withdrawals were mild to moderate. It was my muscles that hurt the most.
