Alright guys I have been knocked down to 2mg/0.5mg suboxone strips and I have been saving up opiates I have gathered throughout my time on sub. I have 22mg of oxycodone and 60mg of hydrocodone I was wondering since the naloxone is on 0.5 mg and I only take about half a strip to 3/4 of a strip a day how long would it take to feel the opiates I have mild cold feeling when I wake up every morning before taking my sub. Maybe mild withdraw? I've been on for a couple of months not to long they started me off on 16mg but I never took that much just 8 for like 2 days then just started taking peices then got knocked down to 8mg a day( still taking just pieces) then 3/4 of a strip (pieces)then half an 8mg strip now I'm down to 3 mg a day but only take about 1.5mg a day am I still blocked? How long will this take to where I can feel my opiates? Any help guys? I don't wanna wastem.

If you take 1.5mg once in the morning, you should be able to get high the next morning no problem with what you have but that seems like it would be pretty counterproductive to the sub taper.

But I've been on sub for months are you sure I just got switched two weeks ago and somedays I would take 2 mg but for like the past 3 days it's only been like 1-1.5 mg a day?

So I took an op 15 an half a roxi 15 and 5 Vicodin 7.5 I felt good for about An hr but I have a stomach ache now and a headache and shallow breathing but no more strong head high should I take about another roxi 15? I'm getting 2 roxi 30s and 2 methadone but I want to save methadone and at least 1 perk 30 for a different day, would another 15 made me feel better or is it because I took all that Tylenol and opiates on an empty stomach? Should I eat any help why I feel like this?

I find the only opioids appropriate for breaking through low doses of bupe are potent or higher doses of opiates, such as IV Heroin, Fentanyl, high dose or IV Morphine, and Oxymorphone IME. I don't recommend indulging in those ridiculously addicting and dangerous opioids I listed.

THE NALOXONE IS ONLY ACTIVATED WHEN HEATED DOWN FOR IV USE...The bupe is what fills the receptors making all other opiates obsolete.Wait 6-8hrs after taking small amount of bupe before taking other opiate/opioid

So I have 7 methadone for tomorrow and it will be the second day of no suboxone what is a good dose will my tolerance be lower? I don't want to over due it i used to do methadone a lot but stopped it all for sub now I'm afraid my tolerance is way lower and I don't wanna take my regular dose from before sub any help?

Methadone after Suboxone (dose etc)?

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I kinda have the same question that needs to be answered.
My regular dose of sub is 1.5mg out of a 2mg/0.5mg strip now but the most I have ever done when I first started sub treatment was like 8 mg, from then on I just took about like 3 or 4 mg for about 3-4 months till now which my regular dose is 1- 1.5mg

I haven't taken any sub for 43 hours, yesterday I took 82 mg of oxy and 37.5 mg of hydrocodone and only barley felt them for short little spurts at a time I would plug the perk 30 and feel it for About 20-30 min then like I'd just feel weird but that was only like 18 hrs after my last sub dose.. Stupid me for wasting all then good opiates.. I just couldn't wait.

Now it's been 43 hours and I have 7 methadone 10s I took 3 about two hours ago, but I'm not sure if I'm going to feel them or if I already do? I feel a bit warm. No extreme opiate feeling though you guys think I should take 1-2 more or would that be too dangerous?
Maybe ill feel them but I'm just taking too low of a dose at the time? I'm so confused.

I've been on sub for about 4-5 months and just want to get high again. I miss the opiate feeling of being extremely happy, extra sociable, always warm, the amazing itching any help please, I don't want to over do it.

^Don't take any more yet. Methadone can take a long time to take effect. Have you done methadone before? It never made me feel euphoric.

Honestly 30mg should probably be enough with your tolerance and how long you've been off buprenorphine, I wouldn't advise taking more. Don't expect it to feel like oxy or heroin though and remember you can OD without feeling a good high.

I made your post into its own thread.

I usually waited 72 hours then took 40-60mg methadone IV to get high while on 4mg subutex daily (had been on that dose for a year or two before that). I know nothing about using methadone orally to get high but I guess bioavailability should be about the same? Then you should feel 30mg I think too.

Thanks guys, today I took 30 mg methadone& 39mg of oxycodone felt pretty nice tomorrow I'm going to do 40mg methadone at 62hrs off my last suboxone dose sound like a pretty good plan? But has my tolerance decreased more now since I have been off sub for 62 hrs and will I feel the methadone more? That'd be awesome and on Friday I get paid so its opiate city for me lol 72+ hours off sub, $$$, and a lowered tolerance sounds like a good time for me lol

I think the major question I'm left asking is why are you pursuing suboxone therapy if your intention is to continue getting high, and not coming off all together. I'm not trying to be judgmental, it just seems counterproductive and would lead to needing even higher doses (less safe) when you are trying to achieve a high.

Likely a matter of affording to keep up a habit, but when things get to that point, it does a world of good to at least try to look for the underlying issues causing you to use.

I was once told just try to get clean, you can always go back, well I tried sober life& it just wasn't me I guess I like every part of doing an opiate, there's no underlying issue, I just have a love for opiates that I will probably never lose who knows? It's none of you business in the first place, but thanks for being concerned bro I think I'm just going to go on to MMT instead of SMT in the end.

The naloxone in suboxone is not active. It is out-competed in the brain by the buprenorphine.

Edit:

THE NALOXONE IS ONLY ACTIVATED WHEN HEATED DOWN FOR IV USE...The bupe is what fills the receptors making all other opiates obsolete.Wait 6-8hrs after taking small amount of bupe before taking other opiate/opioid

Again, this is incorrect. People shoot suboxone all the time. Buprenorphine out-competes it.

I know buprenorphine / suboxone is confusing and very complex, but this fact has been repeated around bluelight COUNTLESS times. It amazes me people still think the naloxone is active in any way.

^ You are exactly right - buprenorphine has a higher receptor affinity than naloxone, so naloxone doesn't get a look-in. For anyone who wants to read more, the Suboxone megathread (in OD directory) has lots of useful information on Suboxone.

The reason this myth is so common is that it is perpetuated by healthcare professionals, drug workers and drug companies, and at first glance it does seem to make sense, if you were unaware of bupe's high receptor affinity. The theory they use is that naloxone has a poor oral/sublingual bioavailability, so is not active if the Suboxone is taken correctly, but is active when administered IV (and obviously has a 100% bioavailability via that ROA) which would prevent people getting high from shooting their meds. Unfortunately it is completely useless for anything except making drug companies money :|

Alprazolam, if you like the feeling of being opiated then you may find methadone maintenance more suited to you - methadone isn't as recreational as a lot of other opioids but you tend to be able to feel it more than Suboxone when you're on maintenance therapy - some users prefer feeling like they are a little intoxicated, even though it isn't the same as a more recreational opioid high, where as others find it too heavy/sedating and prefer buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex) which - although it can be recreational - tends to feel more "clear headed" when used as maintenance. Horses for courses though; see what suits you.. a downside of going on MMT if you still love using opioids is that methadone doesn't have such an effective blockade effect, so there may be less deterrent to using on top of your script.

It sounds like you're not really committed to maintenance therapy right now though.. if that is the case, perhaps MMT isn't for you, as methadone can be difficult to come off and I wouldn't really recommend embarking on a maintenance script unless I was serious about wanting to get clean, or if I was coming to harm using other opioids and needed some stability. Have you thought about drugs counselling? I know it's none of my business and I'm really not trying to interfere, but if you do want to make a serious attempt at getting clean then I'd really recommend looking into that.. have a look in "Other Drugs" and "The Dark Side" forums too for more advice on this. Good luck! <3

I do not agree. I am on 120mg of Methadone and I do not feel much from iv heroin unless I take a ridiculously high dose, like twice or even triple of what I used to use before MMT.
