I took 8 milligrams of sub a day for 3 days I'm a pro wrestler and hurt my back at a show I did over the weekend the doc gave me a script for vikes motrin are ripping my stomach apart... I haven't even got the script filled because I heard they won't do anything anyway but in the morning I can't even get outta bed I quit taking the subs well as of now its not for me anyway I don't need it in my opinion but anyway I need to get some relief oh and vikes use to give me some energy how long before any of that returns...

Taking 8mg of sub for 3 days straight probably raised your opiate tolerance a hell of a lot, and wont be fully worn off for days to come... How did you get 8mg subs? This is confusing... why didn't you puke for 3 days? Are we missing any info.. Vicodins aren't gonna be doing much for you for a least a while.

I went into rehab center and was in there for 3 days they gave me a 8 mg sub each day now I'm out did a show and feels like I broke my back so they wrote me a script I was taking a lot of vikes before hand

Oh ok, sorry for being confused but.... You went in a rehab for opiate addiction? And then they gave you 8mg per day for 3 days and released you... with or without a suboxone script? That is a strange rehab... Either way, you gotta be at least 48 hours off the sub for regular opiates to work normally.

They didn't release me... I walked out subs are way to powerful for me 24 hours won't be enough? I don't wanna have to call into work again.. damn this shit

Well, 24 hours is enough for some people. It depends on your metabolism, but since you're an athlete you may rid of the suboxone faster than average. You can try the vicodin, if it doesn't work then it's wasted.. but chances are if your pupils are back to normal and you're back in pain, then you can take the vicodin and get the effects from it. Your tolerance might be higher now, though.

My tolerance was pretty high before they were such a big thing on the wrestling scene tomarrow morning I'll give it a shot... it won't make me sick will it?

No, you're thinking of withdrawal that can be precipitated by taking Suboxone too soon after a full agonist opiate, but it doesn't work like that the other way around. You can take a full agonist directly after suboxone and it won't make you sick... it just wont work. That's the only reason you have to wait, so that it actually works.

Now, if you were on hydrocodone and wanted to take Suboxone, then the reason for waiting is so that you don't precipitate withdrawals, which happens because buprenorphine, the main ingredient in Suboxone, knocks the other opioids off of your receptors and causes immediate withdrawal.
