so i finally got my legitimate prescription and i plan on following it as i should (10 mg, 2-3x daily).

i was planning on taking it sublingually as i used to however, for the quicker onset and greater bioavailability, but i assume this would lower its duration, correct? the doc told me it has up to a 5 hour duration, so 3 doses should get me through the day. in my experience it only had a 2 hour effect when taken sublingually (also at therapeutic doses of 10 mg, i was self medicating for a week prior). didn't want to ask the doc because he'd probably think i'm considering abusing it or something along those lines.

i know insufflation greatly lowers its active life/peak onset, does sublingual do so as well?

yes, because you lose the added "reservoir effect" from oral absorbtion of the drug.

If you are prescribed methylphenidate to take orally, take it orally as directed.

thanks! haha you're on a roll with my questions, you always seem to be among the first and best answers.

i suppose i'll stick to oral administration, after all i'm not looking for euphoria, just productivity and mood boost.
