Sublingual - exactly how to

So I've put the entire pill under my tongue. I've crushed it n put under my tongue. I've chewed then put under my tongue. I try not to swallow my spit til the pill is gone but all these have seemed pointless.

What am I doin wrong? Does sublingual not work for everyone? I do this with all my benzos but it seems like I get nothin out of it.

Any tips greatly welcome. I would love to feel my benzos come on faster and stronger.

yeah it most certainly does but some pills are really hard to sublingual. Which pills are you trying to use? clonazepam/alprazolam/lorazepam are really easy to dissolve sublingually but diazepam does not work for me, i just get a big mess of pill gunk all over the place and swallow it all.

it's much easier to do with liquid but that's kind of a pain in the ass if you just have pills. Some pills are specifically formulated for SL administration. I've had lorazepam SL and regular lorazepam and the regular ones are much more difficult to absorb while the SL ones dissolve right away under the tongue.

basically just put the pill under your tongue and wait for it to dissolve or sort of squish it around and break it up and it'll dissolve quicker.

it will hit you faster than oral administration and will be a bit more strong but most benzos hit pretty fast anyway orally. In general, it doesn't make a huge difference but i always take benzos sublingually except for diazepam.
 
Well, it honestly depends on the type of tablet/pill it is and the make. I'm pretty familiar with most of the benzodiazepine generics and know what to expect. Some brands dissolve fast and some require a little chewing before placing it under the tongue. I always like to keep the pill under my tongue for AT LEAST 5 minutes, preferably in the range of 5-10 mins. The longer you can keep it under your tongue, the better the sublingual absorption will be. Obviously, like you mentioned, you want to try and not swallow, because that would just turn into the oral ROA.

I love using benzodiazepines (especially clonazepam and diazepam) via sublingual ROA. It definitely packs more of a "punch" and enhances the overall buzz and euphoriant properties. I don't remember the last time I even took diazepam or clonazepam orally. I feel like their missing something if I don't take them sublingually.
 
If it's a sublingual dose, (Geletin strip) it will kick in immediately. But crushing up a Klonnie does no good whatsoever. The benzo that does work like that (in tablet form) is Ativan, Gen: lorazepam. It disappears in less than 10 seconds!
 
It just gets to the bloodstream a little faster. For some reason Klons don't seem to do anything for me. xanax works well for me.
