Subcutaneous Ketamine?

Subcutaneous Ketamine & Solution making help

I'm out of micron filters, but have still some sterile subcutaneous 2ml rigs but with the obviously shorter needle (seems like between half and 1 inch long).

Will Ketamine work subcutaneous just like I.M. or is there a different clue to the dose?

I think the volume of liquid required would be too large for a subcutaneous shot.
Regardless - unless you have ketamine prepared for injection (in which the first point would definitely stand,) micron filters are an absolute requirement for subcutaneous, just like IM.
 
aight convinced, i'll just wait another 2 weeks for my micron filters. hurry is a bad adviser :)

are you sure about the 3/4" tip penetrating SC fat deep enough? i mean, i dont have a really thick skin, but anyway thought under 1" tips are not sufficent for IM shots. you mind sharing your knowledge about a spot that can be hit with a 3/4 tip? thanks.
 
yeah, i mostly start using rigs when i get stingy with my leftover material. so a lowered tolerance AND dose efficiency are double win-win :)

not sure about the short needles tho. my fav IM spot so far was upper buttocks area. there's usually more SC fat than on the deltoid which i dont like to hit (or try to hit). the lateralis is also rather hard on my boney legs.

I only IM on my legs; my ass muscles also work well but thighs are just easier since I can see what I'm doing.
 
You have to be super, super thin with no body fat to do a subcutaneous shot with a short needle, and that is only possible in maybe two areas of your body. They use the inch and a half needles to do IM injections on babies, just saying.
 
a brief bump with a new question:

i've gotten a new set of PTFE 0.2 um micron filters, sterile 25G/1" gauges and sterile syringes. K is in HCl form and the question regards the solution medium.

i got household sterile water (not medical tho!) and sterile saline (sodium chloride) solution from the pharmacy. intuition suggests taking the saline for injecting of course, but i'd like to check back if K is accurately soluble in there and if saline is the way to go for IM injections. planning to make a 100mg/ml solution.

I know that ketamine is able to be absorbed thru the muscle. If your going for an IM shot, you might want to inject near the lumbar area just above the ass. But not too far near the spine, for obvious reasons.. Back when I was injecting Testestorone Cyp. I found this area to be considerably pain less then anywhere else.
 
i'm used to shots into my lateralis for medical reasons, so i'm pretty confident on hitting the spot. my question was more about the solution i should choose for mixing HCl powder. most medical solutions i injected came in saline form, so its safe to assume that this wount cause any ill effects. i've just no experience in mixing K into saline and cannot tell if will dissolve good enough. i could just try, but i prefer to ask, than waste material :)
