Hi bluelight, I'm on sub maintenace, i take 16 mg a day and for the last few weeks i've wanted to try taking tagament before my SL dose of suboxone. Then my friend just came by and had a few tramadols, so i got 6 off him. I'm planning on taking 600 mg of tagament, waiting a half hour, then dosing my suboxone, then waiting a half hour then taking 6 37.5 trams (225mg) i've been on sub maintenance for 5 months now and havent gotten high yet and im just really eager to get nice today. would this be ok? is anyone seeing something i should do different? i'm a sub vet but very new to taking tagament to potantiate, and trams on top to get a nice synergy. I'm sure there are alot of people on sub maintenace who would also be helped from this thread in the future so I thought maybe anyone with any experience could help. I wanna take the tagament soon so if someone on here now could give me some advice, that would be great. Thanks!!!

you'll be fine.. i mix my tramadol and subs all the time without the tagamet but the tagamet will just enhance "high" you get.. don't expect it to be like a full agonist high though. But you will get a high of sorts.
I only take .5mg of suboxone when i take it (lower doses are stronger once you taper down to it beleive it or not) since i stopped maintenance over a year ago and am running out of my stash.. but i take 400mg Tramadol daily for back pain.

I believe Tramadol is the only opiate prescribed for pain for patients on Sub (at least I was). They are an excellent combo and provide great synergy and pain relief. Not sure about the euphoria potential tho, especially at that high a dose of bupe.
Be safe and don't exceed the 400mg/24hrs seizure threshold. Its not a pretty picture if you do (trust me).

yeah, I only have umm 225mg of tram, and it will be a one time thing as my buddy only had a few extra. thanks guys!!! took the tagament at 5, im gonna take my sub dose now, then should i take the tram like 20 minutes after my subs dissolve?

ive taken 400mg+ trams daily for 2 years now usually take a Xanax if i think ive taken too much or went over the llimit and i have many times, never had a seizure. There are studies done with patients getting 300mg of tram on one dose, ive eaten 6 pills here and there but its best to take 250 mg and then 1 tab every htr or so until you feel how you want. I love trams they should have a drug called Xanodol 1mg Xanax and 50 or 100 mg tramadol. Amazing.,
If you are prone to seizures you might have one but i know a lot of ppl who take them, a lot of ppl don't like them b cuz it takes an hour or so for you body (liver ) to convert the tram to o-deysmethyltramadol (sp) which is around 200 times more potent than tramadol. Tram itself is not an opiate but once its metabolized it is. Nucynta is basically the metabolite of tram and is a controlled substance. Same high effects as tram just quicker effects by bypassing all that metabolism liver stuff. sorry for non-tech but that's the basics.

OP, cheers for the great idea. I'm in a similar situation to you: I'm on sub maintenance, and also have regular access to tramadol. It's good to know there's an opiate that actually works with bupe (the blocking effect is both an asset and a liability, imho).
I was looking into tagamet for the purpose of potentiating loperamide in a future detox, but in theory it should also enhance the effects of bupe and tramadol. This could also be used in conjunction with the bupe "alcohol BA-improving trick".
Emptying tramadol caps and then chasing the powder with a warm drink makes the effects kick in significantly faster-this is true for most capsules.
