Bupe Sub Problem

Heyo, came across a problem with new script of sub. Been on the stuff for three years.. Down to 3mg a day, film. Picked up last script a few days ago and this stuff will not work. I mean, I was taking 1mg at a time and doing just fine.. With this stuff, I can keep taking it and am in like half ass withdrawal. Yesterday I was getting pissed and just took 12 mg before noon.. Still is as if I didnt take practically nothing. So its a problem.

Has anyone here dealt with this same thing?? Im thinkin Id love to tell the pharmacy.. but they wont believe that. Or my indian doctor that rushes me out his office as fast as possible and has no concern. What would you guys do with this situation?

You MUST tell the pharmacy.

What kind of buprenorphine are you getting? This is an extremely important thing that you MUST report to the correct authorities, NOW. You should notify the FDA if your pharmacy doesn't help you, and be sure to let your pharmacy know that you will be calling the FDA, take down the pharmacist's name and license # if they honestly refuse to take you seriously.

Are you getting suboxone strips? tablets? Are you getting Subutex or does your buprenorphine also contain naloxone?
 
I've felt like that with alot of film strips i've come across (started on subs in jan 2012, they switched me to the film in march, and I immediately went from needing 8mg of the sub tabs, to 20mg of the film to feel ok) after a month or so I guess my body got used to it, but that first month was hell. I was kicked out of my sub clinic in nov for testing positive for marijuana, and got by on the rest of my strips, using 2mg a day and feeling like shit all through december. Last week I came across some more 8mg tablets, and took 2mg and felt the full effects very quickly. I swear those films either dont have enough bupe in them or its not evenly distributed across the film.

But yeah the difference is night and day with the films and tabs for me.
 
Good luck man. It really sucks when you know the sub should take you out of withdrawal and it doesn't.

I personally dislike the strips and got switched to genric bupre tablets
 
Its Suboxone Strips from Reckitt. Yes has Naloxone. I guess Ill give it a whirl telling the Pharm. I always feel very meek at the pharmacy in regard to this stuff because of the way they view us sub users. But whatever. Ill tell em and see how they respond.
 
Stand up for your rights. You are a good person with a disability and it's their job to enforce and regulate quality control. Sometimes they fuckup, sometimes it's a fuck up from further up the food chain so to speak, but ALWAYS report it and insist on them replacing it. Ask them if they have any other generic equivalents. I know you can get buprenorphine without naloxone in generic form and it's dirt cheap since it's been on the market indicated for chronic pain since like the 1980s.

If my doctor prescribes me suboxone. Do I have the right to request this generic that doesnt have naloxone? What is the name of it?
 
Just curious, did anything ever come of this OP?

BTW no, if your prescription says Suboxone you will not be able to get generic subutex at the pharmacy because it's technically a different drug without the naloxone. Unfortunately not all sub docs are cooperative with the request either because they believe it's more abuseable or something, which is too bad because it can save a lot of $$.
 
Yeah theres no way the pharma will give you subutex. They might have another brand of strip, though. If you ask for the pills, you may get them or they may assume you want to shoot them.
 
Switch to Subutex(just bupe) ASAP. Naloxone is shit and not something that is good to be taking everyday. I started having tooth-rot and migraines from it. I told my doc and she switched me to White buprenorphine tablets. And the awesome part is they are the size of a pea. So small so there is no filler so they dissolve immediately.
