Bupe sub maintenance and precip w/d

Hey, so I couldn't quite find the answer to my question soooo...


If you just started subs and do some oxy, when you redose your sub will you be thrown into w/d? assuming u took a 36 hour break before starting the first day subs,

To answer you question, if I understand correctly - If you are taking suboxone, and then try and get high on oxy, you'll have to wait until you start getting sick again to take more suboxone. If you take it too soon, it'll throw the oxy off of your receptors rapidly, which is what precipitated withdrawal is. Precipitated withdrawal is horrible, you absolutely do not want to experience it. Imagine an entire 5 day heroin/oxy detox compacted into about an hour or two.

So, as long as wait until you're in withdrawals again after taking the oxy, dosing suboxone shouldn't cause you any problems.

But if you are on maintenance, it is probably best to just stick with it, since you are trying to quit using oxy's, right?

You should not be thrown in to withdrawal if you only took the oxycodone one day. Plus, that 36 hour break is longer than they made me wait in rehab (24 hours) after my last dose of H.
