I bought a pair of 95s a few years back and was shocked at how fucking bulky they were. Its all about the plimsoles these days I suppose
 
The fucking Air Max and Kickers era. I wore Docs almost exclusively for about ten years in a protest which only served to fuck up my knees for ages and harden the skin on my heels. What a fucking idiot.

Now I luxuriate in my authentic eighties Beckenbauers, smoking some weed which was given to me for free by a kind soul, reflecting on a vanished youth and wishing I could change a lot of things.

Fuck you Air Max, and all that sail in you.

Is right fella. Although at the time I was a sheep like all the rest and just wanted to be loved. I remember circa 95 getting a pair of Timberland desert boots and getting the shit ripped out of me for weeks. Think I was just to ahead of time for my wee crowd. Housing estate though

Where I grew up there was even a Sprayway class system - the kids with the Hydro-Drys were kind of looked down upon by the ones resplendent in their Gore-Tex. I was one of a few dissidents in the area I grew up in (Openshaw, Manchester - Google Street View will give you a clue). I deliberately dressed up as much as I could to piss people off. It worked.

I learned to run pretty well in Docs. ;)

You know me to well mate. Remember getting my first Berghaus... walking through town with it in the bag watching out for some cunt about to snatch it.

AM Classics / Berghaus was all you needed round our way... nothing else mattered. (Maybe what stolen car you were seen in;))
 
Reebok classics the original , Shite Trainer , when i was bang on it , i'd never trust someone wearing em & most times i was proved correct.

My fav. Is the Nike AiR STab. no pun intended they are class n not that common.#

Re. Air Max , had over a dozen pairs since 89. I got 180s atm.
My other Nikes that i cherish are my Black Jordan 4. They are boss.

Adidas i got Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Red white n Blue. A Classic Shoe.

I also like Nike SB Veloce they last forever & fit lovely.

Rockport Gore Tex Boots for winter.
 
Rockport bring back memories. Remember those ones sort of like kickers? (might have been the gore tex?) Bout 150 notes too.

Most cunts that had them got them out of the catalouge are their mums are still paying them off.

I remember turning 18 and suddenly getting grudging respect from the kids who'd wanted to kill me because I ended up hanging about with the maddest bastard in our postcode through some drunk mutual-respect shit (and drugs). Good times.

I remember him staying at the place I was crashing at when he'd done a runner from prison after stabbing a fellow inmate in the eye because he was going on about hitting his missus. He ended up staying with our loopy mate Vicky (who used to call her baby 'my little sexy man') for two days and then handed himself back in.

He wore a Berghaus. I think I wore a green leather jacket and flares. Weird how these things don't matter in the end.
 
I personally wouldn't trust anyone in a Berghaus jacket these days. I've walked into partys and walked straight back out after seeing them. Anyone usually inside one is 90% of the time no good. (Except for walkers and stuff but not cunts sitting in dodgy partys)
