Stuttering on MDMA, has this happened to anyone or can anyone explain?

Has this happened before to anyone before or does anyone have an explanation to this? I haven’t been in the scene for long due to being a goody goody for years (and being more of an alcoholic). This is about MDMA. I’ve done it four times in my life now, the first time being pressed powder and the other times pure crystal. I should also note that all four times have been just me and a buddy of mine chilling and talking instead of a party setting.

The second time is when things got very interesting. I could feel it starting to affect me like last time, a mild discomfort/nausea with tingles of euphoria slowly building up. I open my mouth to say something but I couldn’t. I legit couldn’t. All that came out was the first few words and then stuttering. The whole trip whenever I tried to speak it felt like I couldn’t get the words out. It was either silence with the words stuck right there in my head and refusing to come out, a broken record of syllables or just weird ass “yawps”. I realy had to stop what I was saying and focus on one word at a time to be able to speak and even then it was difficult. It was scary but at the same time it felt so familiar. Like I had experienced it before or had it in my life for a long time. The funny thing is that the friend I was rolling with has a stutter that I barely notice anymore. When I described the feeling to him he thought it was amazing cause that's what he feels often when he tries to speak. He's also mentioned before that one of the reasons he likes MDMA is because it's so easy to speak while under the influence cause it's like the impediment is gone. As I come down my speech slowly turns back to normal and everything is alright. It hasn't happened again but in the times afterwards I still let out those "yawps" in order to vocalize the euphoria I'm feeling.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Unlike me my friend is a seasoned veteran with a bunch of different substances and he's also interested because he's never ran into this before when he's rolled with other people. I don't know if it's right but our pet theory is that that night we were just so closely bonded and had such an incredible empathic connection that I took on his some of his mannerisms subconsciously and felt what he was feeling which is why the stutter felt so familiar to me. It's a nice thought at least.

Preemptive: It's definitely possible but I kind of doubt it was because I took too much since we just took a therapeutic dose and I took a slightly smaller one that what was recommended for my body weight.

It might contain some sort of stimulant or maybe it doesn't agree with you. I knew somebody that had trouble speaking properly when he was smoking crack, just making weird noises instead of words. But he didn't have that problem when just snorting cocaine.

You can buy a test kit next time and get an idea what's in the stuff you're getting. Be safe!

I must reiterate that you should definitely buy a test kit. It's a small investment, but it will figure out what you're really getting. The whole crystal vs. powder thing in terms of purity, quality, and even what's in it is a myth.

MDMA can be weird; it's an entheogen. Since you mentioned it only happened that one incidence out of the four, I do agree that it probably was cut with something that your body didn't like. Or you could have also been rolling really hard and the euphoria was so strong you could barely speak. It's not impossible.

We used the same batch several times though and it happened only once so I feel like this isn't it. Of course, what do I know? Definitely am gonna invest in a test kit next time. Been a few months already :D

Cheers!
