So this semester is the first time in my life I've felt like I've had 'too much' on my plate.

I have a full set of rigorous classes, a paid internship that is more or less a full time job, and I want to have time to learn python and C (two programming languages) because I know I'm going to need to use them in some classes I'm taking over the summer... I can tell that I'll be able to keep it all together, but it is going to take a LOT of consistent hard work. I'm planning on adding a mild stimulant to my daily routine, and would like some input.

I've used adderall (both IR and XR) and vyvanse, for cram sessions before. I found that I respond much better to adderall than to vyvanse (with vyvanse I tend to be very stimulated, but I get distracted very easily. I think the levo isomer in adderall gives my the mental stimulation I need to focus). I've considered low dose oral methamphetamine (probably around 10mg), but I'm not wild about how long the effects last. Do you think meth would be suitable for this purpose?

I've also looked into cathinones. The more research I do into substituted cathinones though, the less appealing they look. Most of the reports on erowid give me the impression that cathinones have a 'frantic' energy about them. I don't think that they would be very suitable for studying (I have never personally tried them though, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

You are trying to add a "mild" stimulant to your daily routine and bring up meth? If you are looking for something to help with focus and alertness then modafinil is your best bet. Coca tea also works well.

If you are trying to actually use a real stimulant - not mild - adderall and ritalin are your best bet. If you are willing to go into RC world (which is a terrible idea for daily use) then 2-FMA is your best bet. I heard it was better than any other amphetamine for studying. All that being said, adding a daily stimulant to help you get through this stuff WILL lead to an addiction to said substance.

Look into Modafinil. It will have your mind honed and you will be completing tasks like a "well-oiled machine". I used it throughout my last 2 years of university education.

Not everyone responds to modafinil, I never noticed any effect from it. Dexedrine is your best bet.

The only stim I've ever used that could be used to study is Vyvanse.. and I agree it tends to make me unfocused and speedy. And I would most definitely NOT use meth. No fucking way you will be able to focus on your work when you're tweaking on some half-decent crank. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, the only stim I use daily to aid with daily activities is caffeine.. which doesn't do much for me anymore.

Anyhow I wish you the best of luck AnotherCasualty

Dexamphetamine has always been the best for me. Methylphenidate (preferably Concerta/ER) and decent street speed will do in a pinch, but dexamphetamine keeps me more focused with less side effects than the other two.

I've tried studying on meth and basically what happened was I read 4 pages, cleaned my desk and watched 9 hours of porn.
