Just to preface this, I'm quite experienced with benzos, although that was back in early 2020 during lockdown. I have no idea if my use of (probably RC benzos, they were pressed Xans in the UK lol) would still have an affect on my tolerance after 4 years. I've recently (~ 3 weeks ago) got back into benzos (mainly clonazepam) which would bring my tolerance up a lot. However, the first time I tried diazepam, which was about a week ago it was amazing. I took 30mg and I was euphoric due to the muscle relaxant effects - I couldn't walk, I was literally bursting out laughing at how absurd it felt! :D
But since that, I've been trying to recreate that with higher doses and it doesn't feel in anyway the same. Like I still get the muscle releaxant and anxiolytic properties and even the euphoria but everything (apart from the anxiolysis) is much more muted at double or sometimes even more of a dose.
The diazepam that gave me the euphoria was an Indian brand in a blister pack and I have recently moved to Galenika Bensedin which, being in the EU, has to adhere to much stricter quality control standards [I think it's something like +/-5% of the stated dose]. But it's still all the same, strong anxiyolsis with mild muscle relaxant and (very) mild euphoria on doses up to ~80mg. I also take them sublingually, if that makes a difference. I know diazepam is a weak benzo where 2mg of clonazepam is ≈ 40mg diazepam. I also keep in mind it's very fat soluble, but the sublingual ROA would negate that, no?
The only things I can thing of are that:
A) My clonazepam (Rivotril) use for a few weeks fucked my tolerance.
B) Due to Indian pharmactical quality control being as good as non-existant, the first pill I had was extremely overdosed (?).
