strongest salvia extract concentration?

I was looking at some Salvia stuff this morning and came acrossed that report from Daniel J. Siebert, I think it is the first salvia trip report ever made I thought it was interesting so I am posting the link.

No it’s not the first trip report, come to think of it I read on from the 60s the Wasson guy who originally brought salvia to the U.S. wrote on about chewing leaves in Mexico.

Is it really necessary to smoke anything beyond say, 40x, or even 20x. I mean, if it's possible to have breakthroughs just using normal plant material, and when 20x only requires a pinch to get there, why go beyond?
 
The stongest I have seen is 60x (avalible to the UK market) and I have that 60x infront of me now.

i saw 400x at a headshop not too far from where i live, i plan on getting it thursday if anyones interested in knowing its effects. %)
 
I dont get how anyone can break through on just the leaves. I didnt breakthrough on 10x. I think some people have more tolerance and need stronger doses. I'm going for 15 or 20x next time.
 
The strongest I've ever seen was I think 60x the label said "XXX" It was way too expensive to be worth it, I bought a gram of it and it wasn't any better than 20x IMO.

i'd have thought that to be the case, but it was actually 40 bucks believe it or not, which is insane considering i bought 20x for 40 bucks before. i feel kinda ripped off lol.

What you saw was probably 40X. 400X would be pure salvinorin A (see earlier in this thread.) Mostly it's chemical supply houses that carry pure salvinorin A. If head shops did there would be blackouts left and right. 100X is the most potent I've seen, that is if it is actually 100X (250mg salvinorin A per gram.)

Yeah, though it seems that there's a wide variance in the amount people need to breakthrough, the average is probably about 500mcgs to 1mg (from what I've read). Pure Salvinorin A would be so impossible to measure correctly without using volumetric measurement, which is stupid for something you smoke. More trouble than it's worth, haha.

i'm positive it was labeled 400x, and beside it they had 100 to 300x. however it could be a possibility that maybe it's fake and they call it 400 just to catch someones eye to buy it? who knows. i also remember it having (i think) an "hr" before the x, if that's any indication towards it being something powerful or something. I was thinking about taking a pic of it, knowing it's scarcity and looking back on it i kind of wish i did since i can't find anywhere online where they have images of salvia bags above 80x. hmm. anyway i'll find out soon enough tomorrow.
