Stronger potency by combining opioids?

Now having a better hook up for oxy my tolerance has gone up a great deal. 30-40mg orally would give me a nice buzz maybe 2-3 times a month and now Im around 40mg orally plus another 20mg snorted for a good high once a week.
Taking a good dose of benzos with the oxy will usually elevate the high a little but usually just makes me tired and spaced out (I like to stay up and enjoy the high).
Im wondering if I were to combine my oral dose of oxy (40mg) with perhaps another 30mg or so of hydrocodone it would give me a similar high so I wouldnt have to snort the other 20mg of oxy (with my allergies snorting anything causes a lot of irritation)
I singled out hydrocodone because I have it prescribed for back pain and over the last year or so its pretty much lost all recreational value to me.
Thoughts?

This has been summarized somewhere on this board before. The short answer is that theoretically they should inhibit each other but many people don't find this to be true for them, or even find potentiating effects.

Of course the hydrocodone will compliment the oxycodone, but it's not like by combining the two you unleash some incredible reaction where suddenly they would cause each other to be many times as potent.. if you take 40mg oxycodone orally then take 30mg hydrocodone, you will have the same effects as if you were to take 40mg oxycodone orally, and say, another 15mg-20mg oxycodone orally ..
That answer your question? Of course the two together are better then one minus the other, but nothing 'special' happends..

Thanks, that basically answers it. I wasent expecting anything special just hoping to get a little more out of each.

try a small dose of DXM (about60-90mgs.) to potentiate opiates. It really works.

Cimetidine ( Tagamet in the US ) will increase plasma concentrations and delay clearance of opiates.
This taken in conjunction with an antihystamine(SP), ( hydroxyzine if you can get it )
try-cyclic anti-depressants ( elavil, sinequan etc. ) or DXM can potentiate opiates.
I personally think that oxy and hydrocodone WOULD be a special thing, especially with all of this other crap you can take to make it last longer and work harder.
Also take note that some consider weed to be the universal potentiator.

I recommend DXM or K preferable if you can get it. SMALL doses, just below the amount to give you any noticeable effects on their own, should do the trick.
Prescription antihistamines like hydroxyzine, promethazine (Phenergan) work well though I dislike their sedating effects.
I've noticed no difference in opioid tolerance/euphoria on SSRIs than before.
