Opioids stronger binding affinity: heroin or methadone?

As I understand it, Methadone can block people from getting high on dope when a sufficient blocking dose is reached by saturating the opiate receptors so that there is nowhere for the heroin to go. This is opposed to Bupe which while also saturating the brain, has such a strong binding affinity at the mu opiate receptor, that it won't let dope bind.

If heroin has a greater affinity at the receptor than methadone, can a sufficient dose of heroin kick off the methadone to get a user high?

Basically I'm asking how "shooting through" a blocking dose of methadone works...if it does work...and how dangerous it is to try?

its possible but why not wait a day and get more "bang" for your buck. could be dangerous imo to do a fat dose of h on a bunch of done

Methadone. Shooting through doesn't really work, i would say it never works but there are instances in which the dosages of each drug are such that the user can experience roughly a 20 minute high from the heroin before getting back to the previous state, and obviously given the time frame it's a waste of money and anticipation.

I wasn't actually planning to IV, just snort. Given that I'd be snorting instead of IV, will any effects be felt since I won't get that initial IV rush?

I've heard ppl say it can take up to 3 days of stopping methadone to feel dope again...personally I start feeling very mild w/d symptoms 23 hours after my last dose. So if I were to snort some dope when I start feeling uncomfortable, would I feel the high? (In others experience I'm asking...)
