strattera overdose? help!

my boy feels like shit and he popped 125mg strattera hes 137 lbs is he gona be good? like he'll stand up and gets really dizzy and he feels like hes gona throw up off and on and hes got a giant head ache is he good?

i've never heard of anyone ODing on strattera, and i'm not sure it can be truly lethal on its own, but i'm sure he could run in to some heart problems and stuff. i'd probably take him to a hospital and have him get his stomach pumped.

what would possess someone to take that much strattera?
 
it was sold as adderall he had a tolerance for adderall, hes feeling better now but i don't wana drive him to the hospital i don't thing thats needed hes just tired cause he took one 15 mg temazepam? i think it helped him idk?
 
Probably all theyd do at the hospital is give him a benzo, fluids, and pump his stomach. Do you have any way of keeping track of his heart rate? If you can figure that out you can tell if he's doing better or worse.

My guess is he'll be fine though, how long ago did he take it?

These are all classic symptoms of hypertension (high blood pressure). It's not surprising that a drug that increases norepinephrine levels in the brain synapses would cause this (it increases the other monoamines as well, but to a lesser degree). Too much epinephrine release of reuptake inhibition can make one feel quite shitty as well, a benzo would certainly help. Most likely these symptoms will subside as the drug gets broken down and/or eliminated from the body. Unless it gets worse, or your friend has a pre-existing heart condition, a hospital trip seems unnecessary.

The person who sold this as Adderall is a grade A douchebag by the way. Misrepresenting a drug is immoral on several levels, and could potentially lead to fatal consequences. Your friend should definitely try to get some reparation from him/her. While I don't believe in violence or vengeance, this dealer is cruising for a bruising doing this. Some people are very quick to retaliate when put in this scenario.

that is just fucked up. i once was at a party in south jersey where some kid sold this other kid dope telling him it was k. so the kid like snorted the whole bag....o'd and died. yeah. great way to make business. fucking arseholes

Didn't sound like he'd live too long on his own anyways, no offense though. Selling one drug as another is a really shitty, low-life thing that I certainly would never knowingly do. I'm very sorry that they had to die for someone to hustle a high. That's truly pathetic, and one of the many reasons we need to legalize all drugs. If you were to fall short of legalizing all drugs, this would be more commonplace, sadly enough. :\

If I somehow had a blotter sheet, I obviously can't determine for sure what's on it, but most of the times what I get is pretty verifiable so there's no need to disguise it like that. I've never seen a full blotter sheet let alone had it though, so that's a theoretical example, not an actual one.

But really, who would sell H as K? H makes a lot more $. I guess K could go for extra high prices, especially to the right talked-up customer, etc. *shrugs*

If it's pure ketamine the price is probably close or you could obviously sell it for more $, but it sounds like the H wasn't too impure itself.
 
I got similar symptoms when taking the prescribed dose.

When you are Rxed this medication you are supposed to up your dose day after day for a month to avoid what your friend is feeling.
 
Hey OP, didn't you just get prescribed strattera? I remember your thread about it. It wasn't you that sold it to your friend as adderall, was it?

Its a non-stimulant-stimulant; just how "Vyvanse" is un-abusable, and how modafinil is not "enjoyable" or how Oxycontin came with liturature to doctors saying how bullet-proof its XR system was.

Bottom line: You will never make a drug that is un-abusable. Even if its a pro-drug like "Vyvanse", if the main active chemical is attractive, someone will find a way! %)

Edit: OP: Your "boy" is an idiot, he should have looked up the pills on a Pill ID site, the few times I have gotten hold of something I may not be certain of, I can just type "Pill ID" into a common search engine, put in the pill characteristics, and I have an image of the pill along with what it contains; much more attractive than a couple days spinning in circles and puking your guts up OD'ing on Strattera. But like the person above said, they won't do much barring total sedation in the ER if you go. Keep your buddy stable, happy, hydrated, and monitor heart-rate and BP if you can.
