A better thing to do is say that it isn't effective to you, and to say you need something stronger, but not strattera . Imply that you want adderal and if she doesn't let you then oh well...
definately getting off this im just contemplating whether to call my dr tomorrow or wait until next week so she doesn't pull the whole "didn't let it get in my system and start working"
so im confused what's the difference physically and mentally between adderall and dexedrine? for school work n intense focus which one is recommended? idk if im allowed to ask that but ill try
This post blows my mind... I had a friend of mines older sister take 28 of these at once in an attempt to OD and the doctors said that she would be just fine that it being a 'non stimulant' drug would not have caused death in her... but the symptoms many of you post to this site seem to suggest that it is infact quite powerful and with this poor individual 100mgs of this 'safe' alternative to stimulants had his heart in arythmea and very well could have led to a cardiomyopathy resulting in a swift and untimely demise... My question and thoughts on this is how is this drug (which i was prescribed in tandem with my adderal for ADD/ADHD in my teenage years) safe like the doctors at our local hospital procliamed it be, with this girl ingesting hundreds upon hundres of mgs of this and it not causing death but on the other side it seems to have apparently negative side effects quite often and it seems more often they occur with this 'safe' drug then with a true stimulant such as Adderal or Desoxyn... Confused a little here...
In my personal opinion & experience, amphetamines are the most useful, safest drugs on the market for ADD/ADHD. I never had any bad side effects when I wasn't abusing them. Other meds for it, i.e. Strattera, Ritalin, etc. all gave me this feeling that I was going to end up with heart failure or some shit.
I absolutely agree with you guys
I haven't met one person whose been onthe nonamphetamine drugs to treat adhd who actually feel like its helped them
everyone agrees it makes u tired, unmotivated and have chest pains :/
JARED on my script it says it can cause severe liver damage if taken too much Im no dr but taking that mass quantity of pills at once is definately damaging to the liver... idk maybe it hits everyone different but my chest still hurt today a wk after prescribed taking it daily.. I just refuse to give this kind of pill ne more of my time I am calling my dr on friday for sure!
Just thought I'd chip in here,
Taken strattera for the first time today (10mg) and am pleasantly surprised by the experience so far. It calmed me down, put me in a positive mood and just made for a pleasant afternoon!
The only downsides are that I've smoked like a chimney and got pretty sweaty on a walk out earlier, but that's about it. In fact I feel like redosing.
Hasn't helped with focus or anything, but I have got a few bits done. I've been fairly sketched out the last few days and sense of mellowness has been lovely.
