Strattera and Psychedelics

I recently got prescribed Strattera. I was trying to get Adderall (I was prescribed it in the past), but apparently my blood pressure is pretty high for some reason (getting some blood tests to try and see why) so the doctor wasn't comfortable prescribing me a stimulant. Strattera is a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Will this interfere with psychedelics (specifically LSD) or MDMA? Sorry for not UTFSE. Thanks in advance!

Your SSRI will reduce the effects of them however, because they cause receptor down regulation of the serotogenic receptors, and these drugs beign agonists of, rely on the sensitivity of your receptors to produce the effects.

Dont know how accurate this is but why dont you test the watters and give it an actual report.

It's a norepinephrine reuptake inhinbitor, not a serotonin reuptake inhibitor.

Thats just what i uncovered after a quick Google search.

I agree that directly its not affecting serotonin but surely if certain levels of chemicals are changing in the brain it has an effect in other regions?

Also the fact that everyone is very unique i would say try it, worst case scenario you just dont trip as well as you would have liked.
And then post the results for anyone else to see :)

I used to take adderall for a little bit but it made me feel depressed and i didnt like the fact that its a methamphetamine.

Sure, all systems in brains are interconnected.
Stimulants, for example seem to blunt trips.

Why not google a little bit?

Another thing to consider is that I am currently on Edronax (reboxetine, an NRI). I've been researching the interaction of NRIs and LSD, and it would seem that the combination is going to potentiate the visual hallucinatory part of the trip.

Also, Adderal is amphetamine, not methamphetamine.

They are two different chemicals, though they have some structural similarity.
