Strange voluntary changes you've made to yourself?

Anthor: I could have sworn that I've shown you my tattoo before? Oh well I'll show you next time I see you.

So far 2 tattoos and quite a few piercings, but the only ones remaining are the navel and tongue rings, and 2 ear piercings on each ear lobe (remaining earrings were taken out). Might pierce the nose again, or a lip ring.. although another tattoo on the ankle is very tempting right now.

Don't know though - but i wonder if anyone else who's had tattoos done also kinda feel the same - once you have one, kinda difficult to stop?
 
Hmm, I should fill in the rest of this then:
  • Dyed my hair orange two days before my 18th, and have had it kept generally like it since.
  • Dyed my facial hair orange and burnt my chin with my bleaching stuff :p
  • Shaved my head.

Planning on getting something more permanent done, but i dunno what yet... those little acrylic pearls that they place under the skin looks pretty damn cool.

if im not wrong, its some BME stuff where a person puts balls under the skin and gets "bumps" in the skin.

a bit too extreme if u ask me 8)
 
got my stomache peirced
getting a tattoo
started doing a fitness programme
started goin out to events straight with out substance intake or drinking...
got out of stale old friendship circle and made new friends...
am moving to melbourne
dyed my hair blonde once...
lost 20kilos *now weight 58kilos*
am starting to deal with mental baggage and issues

I mean excuse me for passing judgement, but some of the above don't sound too strange.

dante, did you just use bleach + peroxide to do your hair orange or what? i always colour my hair but have gone through pretty much all the fudge colours, and don't really like most of 'em much anymore anyway. so yeah :)

plaz: depends on what ur idea of strange is, doesnt it? ;)

i wouldnt consider anything in this thread thus far strange, but that's only cos i've come across mention of the acts or done them myself.
 
Tat for me too ( although there was a bit behind me getting it, and i dont really consider it 'strange')
biski_b: i agree, I've found getting a tat to be kind of addictive, all i ca think about is what and where the next one will be...
 
Hrm, I suppose I thought that shaving my facial hair off was a tad strange, cause I've had it for over 14 months or so... so people are finding it strange (myself included)...

1234: yermo, it's all about the Decore Ultimate Blonde 4 and Fudge Orange Crush ;)

And I can't find any picture of the sort of beading that I'd like... if anything, I reckon it'd be sweet to have a series of beads circling around your wrist, looking like a permanent bracelet of some sort. I also can't think of anything that would be affected by it, I'd just have to hope that my body accepted the beads, and didn't reject them.. otherwise there'll be a great stonking mess around my wrist :\
 
oh man i am a spur of the moment kinda gal actually....one of my tatts and a few piercings were spur of the moment...changing hair colours alkl the time, getting dreads (i all of a sudden 'understood and needed' dreads so started making them 8) and then the latest...actually cutting them all off last night ...fuck i miss them...i really wish i hadnt done it :(
 
Reducing my pot smokin from every day to weekly or more.

It may not be strange to you but the trip to Canberra to get of it sure was!8(

Oh and Ive dramatically cut down on my smoking. Havent bought a pack for more than a month.*Pats himself on the back cos no one else will*

I also quit smoking cigarettes recently. And the strange part was that it was so easy.

One time I had my head shaved while drunk at a party.
Then I was out shopping later that week, and I went to buy this expensive photo frame as a Mother's Day present.
Anyway, the girls working in the store must have thought I was a cancer patient, cos they gave me a huge discount (like 50%!) and were smiling sympathetically at me the whole time.
(Pastey+skinny+bald=cancer victim :D )

And now and then I grow facial hair so I can do bad things and blame the evil punch e from a parallel dimension (see South Park).

I haven't done anything strange ... but if I had the money I'd get lyposuction! ;)

Actually ... back in my business college days, I let my hairdresser use me as a guinea pig and she put 1 bright orange foil in my hair ... so I had a head of lovely blonde hair and then these massive orange strips near my fringe ...

That was strange ... looked ridiculous! And I let her do it! hehe
