Heroin strange sticky powdered heroin?

i just got a bundle and all the dope here is east coast powder but...

this dope is strange. its very sticky. i ussually tear the stamp open and then pour it into a contact lense container mix with water yeah... but this when i tore it open nothing came out. its like a sticky consistancy. maybe its old?

Would heating it up be a bad idea? i have never done that for dope before, but maybe for this type its appropriate, i just dont know what to do with this stuff.
 
could be from the way it was kept. Maybe it was kept in a humid pocket for a while. Put it in a piece of paper for like an hour and see if it does'nt get powdery again.
 
My guess is humidity, as sturdychin said, or perhaps a bad cut down the line that's still making it's way to the consumer. Do the paper thing and let it dry, and if it doesn't, it could be a funky cut. Be safe!
 
is it really sticky and kinda sticks to the bag? I've seen this before.. have always wondered why it would be that way sometimes

One sometimes comes across this problem in the summer.
 
Even if it is already sticky, it should dissolve with no problem... no heat necessary.
 
Dry it in the oven at 150F for 30 minutes. Heroin looks like shit in it's pure form so that doesn't help telling if it's pure or not. It's not like with white fine powder products lol
 
if its real sticky from a bad exp. i slap it in the freezer if it doesnt harden up then smell it or 1st smell it if it doesnt reek of vinegar dont nag it i once had some shit tha was ral messy and sticky and then i frooze it to work with it and it didnt smell raly at all then i like a fool slammed it and it fucked em up in a bad way, it was as if it would not break down inside me and a massive headache was the result and joint pain
 
^Your experience sounds like a bad cut. Or maybe when you slammed it, since it was so sticky it didn't dissolve properly and stayed sticky as it entered your bloodstream. Eesh!

Any word TC? Did you try to dry it or what?

i'm a little rusty on the different types of heroin and their hygroscopic absorption. obviously BTH is hygroscopic.

are the other types hygroscopic in any way hence this problem?
 
I just scraped it off with a credit card dissolved it in water and everything was good.

I think what happened was that these bags got wet, then redried...

Anyway, case solved, thanks all :)
 
Yeah I was going to say there is no poitn to go through any trouble doing a bunch of different things. Chances are whatever the cut was caused this to happen.

What you did, scraping the bags, then dissolving like usual was exactly what I woudl suggest. I've gotten dope like that, it didn't always mean it was garbage.
