Strange Reaction to Heroin 24 hours after Suboxone dose

OK so I know its retarded to do any other opiates on suboxone, but I just wanted to see how a little bit of this new dope felt 24 hours after my last suboxone dose. Here is the problem.

Yesterday around 10 am I took 16 mg of suboxone. Just a few minutes ago I shot up about .10 g of heroin. A few seconds after I pulled the needle out, my entire fore arm turned red and swelled up a little. It burned a little too. I'm wondering if I got ripped off, or did the suboxone just completely block the heroin and is this weird reaction just a symptom of that?

sounds like bad dope to me, suboxone would just negate some of the effects, It wouldnt create negative ones

The bupe probably had nothing to do with it. There is no need to be taking that much Suboxone unless you just enjoy wasting drugs. A minute amount of drug users only need higher doses. I had a 100mg of methadone habit or 240mg of OC and 2mg of bupe could hold me fine.

thats what i thought at first, but there was no bubble or anything. plus i registered fine.

maybe i should try another small shot in a few days when the suboxone wears off and see what happens?


EDIT: OK I just shot up a bit more and it felt fine. still a little blocked from the suboxone but its not bunk. i guess i did miss the vein earlier today. it was really weird though because it didn't sting when i was pushing down and there was no bubble or bruising. now i'm hoping i dont get an infection

yeah homey it sounds like you injected into an artery instead of a vein. this has happened a couple of times to me. i feel my hand and arm swell up, it feels like your hand is on fire, and it turns red. this can be dangerous depending on how cut up the dope was and what else was besides heroin was put into that artery. i didnt feel shit when i did the artery shot, i just ended up getting well after like 5 or 6 minutes, no rush or anything noticable.

to prevent this from happening again, you can pay attention to a few things.
1.)arterial blood is a bit lighter in color, and its a little foamy in appearance.
2.)the way that the blood spurts into the syringe when you register the shot, it has a bit more pressure than a vein.

most indicative way though is the color. a healthy nice vein will have a deep purple color blood, whereas an artery is pretty light.

That's a very large amount to be taking to be honest mate
With Buprenorphine it's a case of "Less is More" - This is because it has both agonistic and antagonistic properties, so the more you take the more potently it's antagonistic properties are acting.

If you're over in the US then it makes sense that arsehole docs will try script you as much as possible so you're on it for longer and paying more money basically.
If not then I don't have a clue why a doc would give you that much. Normally they want to start you on as low as dose as possible and slowly raise the amount if it's needed.


Anyhoo - To get back on topic, the Buprenorphine had nothing to do with this, you likely missed your shot or you got some nasty bashed-up "gear". Sorry mate
