Hi everybody

I haven't met anyone on this forum and I don't think I've posted before - so hi!

Last week, I had an experience that I don't have the words to describe (if i did, I wouldn't be bothering you with my questions on this forum) while on quite a lot of acid with my boyfriend.

I think we took the equivalent of five tabs each, and this was my second trip ever. I think our first dose was at 9pm, and I didn't experience too many visual hallucinations for the better part of the night. We did, however, go outside at sunrise. It was very misty and cold, and while looking out over a small stream surrounded by plants, the 'sound' of nature (I've heard it described as a kind of 'vibration', 'ohm', you know?) seemed to send me into a trance-like state and when I realized what was going on, I had taken off most of my clothes.

Later on, we were sitting down and it seemed to happen again: everything around me seemed to go white, I was sucked into some kind of 'vortex' and all I could see was my boyfriend's face (he was talking to me) and I honestly felt as though we had somehow transcended the reality of our every-day existence... But he was not really experiencing much of anything I was.

Have any of you experienced this, and if so, can you recommend further reading for me? How close together is it possible for two people to be, to experience the same things and actually go somewhere together?

Sorry, if this sounds clumsy and lame. I don't really have the right words to describe it - please excuse me!

This is a pretty high dose. Not surprised that you might have had an out of body experience. I always suggest that everyone reads Mr. Hoffmans' book, LSD: My Problem Child, as a starter for ten...

My friends and I have experienced a shared auditory hallucination while tripping on heavy doses togther...it happened twice in the same night, in two totally different locations, and we were never able to come up with any other explanation..

So, there were four of us, and we often dosed together that semester, averaging twice a week or so, we had a killer hookup at the time for some really clean, high quality blotter. This one night, we were in my friends dorm room smoking up, about 2 or 3 hours into a trip, and we heard this single, distinct "ding" noise, like a video game, that seemed to come from the middle of the room. There was no tv, no computer, no stereo playing, and no one had a cellphone at that time (this was in 95, lol). We all heard it together, just once, and no one could figure out what made it. But we just figured that someone in another room was responsible and went about the night.

A couple of hours later, though, we were outside, at an entirely different building, and we heard the exact same ding, coming from over our heads. The thing is, there was anotheer girrl with us now who was not tripping, and she didn't hear it! Needless to say, our minds were totally blown. I've never had another experience like that, and to this day, I still believe it was a group hallucination, because we never heard it again and never discovered any other explanation. It was truly bizarre, but it was also during a time when we often tripped together, so we were all close.

I don't think I've ever had a trip that wasn't "strange" in some kind of way, though!

gardener - thanks, I'll check that out.

keeb333 - I guess you're right in that all trips are "strange" in some way or another.

I wish I had a more succinct way of phrasing what I experienced so as to understand it better, though. It felt like what I (and at that time, I thought it was 'we') experienced was completely normal, which is to say I thought it was to be expected for those circumstances and that we had achieved something really amazing, and I was so happy. I think I was just so let down by my good old friend reality. Haha.

Thanks, guys :)
