Strange drug test results, please help!

Hey, so this past monday swim (who is a minor, barely under the legal age in his country) was taken to a doctor for a drug test by his parents. This is because the parents knew he had been taking pills in the past and wanted to make sure that he was not lying about being clean from them. So, they took some hair and some urine and today the urine results came back. Now, first, the only drugs SWIM has done recently are marijuana and cocaine. He is a regular smoker and his parents knew that that would appear on the drug test, however 2 days before the test he tried ONE bump of cocaine for the first time. Not thinking that this one bump after about 60 hours would show up in the piss test, he was rather un-alarmed, plus he had drank plenty of water that day as well as worked out so he was sure it would be out of his system. However, today he talks to his father and is told that the test showed up with having a ridiculously alarming amount of cocaine in his system, this being about 10.6 times the amount that should raise concern/reasonable suspicion in a drug test. Swim tries to explain that this is impossible to his father, he tried one bump yaddayaddayadda, but of course is thought of to be lying. But what the fuck?! He didn't do enough cocaine to feel hardly anything off of it and didn't continue to do it, why would such a large amount show up in his system? He is anxiously awaiting hair test results to prove that he'd never done blow before, but is still in a world of fucked because his father thinks he did like an 8ball in a few hours...
Anyway, aside from the question of HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE and what can he do about it with his father??? Swim was wondering, is it possible for the united states government to at all investigate you/your house/family for drugs after a private (through the doctor) drug test? Because he is scared shitless that this "huge amount of coke" in a drug test is reason to be investigated.

We dont discuss testing or legal issues but, take a big breath. It'll all be over soon. Highly doubt there's much to worry about here other than typical parent-child obstacles.

These tests are nearly always off one way or the other. I've had tests come back with more drugs in them after a week of doing nothing. The measurements aren't accurate at all and they always over-exaggerate the amount you supposedly have been doing. That's my experience from being on methadone treatment at least.

As said above, take a deep breath, it will all be over soon. The police couldn't give less of a flying fuck about you having tried cocaine once and they are not going to come knocking on your door.

if ya test positive, sorry to burst ur bubble, u used something. however MANY TIMES when people take sudafed or cold medicines with pseudoephedrine in it it may give a false positive for amphetamines, other than that, 90% of the time, take ownership
