I got switched to Adderall XR recently and although I don't get hammered from it I do appreciate the long-lasting effect to help me concentrating and not shaking so much. I'll probably be sticking with these.
Here's my question: I also had a bunch of Adderall IR 30mg tabs left when I switched so yesterday I took my XR in the morning and decided (although I wasn't coming down) to bump it up in the middle of the morning so I popped a 30mg IR tab. Nothing happened. I couldn't believe it so I popped another half (15mg). Nothing happened. I may have become a little more shaky, that's it.
This seems incredible to me since under any other normal day if I took 45mgs I would be pretty toasted, but this time nothing.
The same exact sequence presented itself the next day when I tried it again in the afternoon. It almost seemed like the XR was inhibiting or blocking the IR. Is this possible?
What else could be at work here?
Warm Regards,
Soap
