Storm Windows

Wake to breathe Snow falls like feathers,
these windows weren't made to stand storm.
Check the locks twice, for good measure.

Coming to is harder in cold weather;
even when it comes it comes alarmed.
Wake to breathe Snow falls like feathers

or the silence of sleep silvered as treasure
broken by startle that darkness informs.
Check the locks twice, for good measure

since blankets vent heat like pressure,
bodies caressing the bed into warmth.
Wake to breathe Snow falls like feathers

but wind assaults, a voice's displeasure
pains panes then falls quiet, charmed;
check the locks twice, for good measure

while crystals are constellations, letters
of the dreamed message they don't form:
wake to breathe Snow falls like feathers,
check the locks--twice--for good measure.

This was great, it kind of sounds like it could be a Placebo song in my head...I had to read it a bunch of times though to appreciate it because at first I was too into the form to actually let the meaning of the words sink in..

Good work spink! :D

a couple factors make this form really hard to write, and one of them is what you brought up: the form almost always supersedes the poem. only having two possible rhymes is a bitch, too.
