You exist in a place in my mind
Of textured winds singing of red ochre sands,
Waving over a cliff that lives in a horizon
That is only to be seen when our hearts are free.
I blind my eyes to the world around me
And the layers of your voice
Carry me off to the place of forgetting,
Of living, of knowing, of dancing in a storm.
There's a wildness in your eyes that
Seems to know of only truth, and yet
There's denial in your sighs telling me
How long it has been since someone touched your face.
Arms to keep me warm and hands to hold me on the ground
But I'd rather your smile take over my mind
And a brush of your lips remind me of warm rains,
For here in this desert that you created for me
There is dryness and a heat that makes me heavy.
Don't leave me alone to search for water,
I seek not the answer to be found in an oasis of illusion.
I want not an explanation that comes of reason or logic,
I prefer instead a thirst that I know to be real.
A thirst quenched when there is no more loneliness, less you, less me, more us.
Bring me to the cliff, and I will bring you to silence.

"When the rain washes you clean you'll know."
I love you guys, more than I ever hope to be able to express. Both of you, come home to me soon.

Whoa, i just watched the English Patient tonight, and this is what Katherine was feeling to the Count when he left her at the Water Cave after the plane crash. Left her to try to save her. Does this resonate with you? Well done.

Wow, I didn't even think of that scene, it's been so long since I saw the movie. But it definitely hit home when you brought it up! Thanks for the connection sweetie. :)

Dags - You know that I love you, and that sometimes, even dispite my strongest urgings, I still can't help but love you. This piece was amazing, and even a cycnic such as myself was moved. I love you and I love your words.

ravenous yet calm
emerging from winter's sleep
wildflowers in full bloom
gaze at the azure
wind whispers around your ears
deafening quiet
black wisdom on wing
mocking your presence, your pride
acknowlege that truth
my god, so many stars
dizzying desolation
questions ... no questions
sleep now, gently held
cradled in forgotten seas
open yourself to feel

Carry me off to the place of forgetting,
Of living, of knowing, of dancing in a storm.
...your words made me shiver, girlie.
you have such an amazingness to you... you always seem to have such mindblowing things to say to me, but when i read your stuff i just go blank... i'm just awed by your brilliance.
