hey folks,
i have tried searching for the answer to this, but not stumbled on a definitive answer so far.
i have a bunch of syringes and other paraphernalia that i ordered online, but when i received it, the glass bottle of sterile water had smashed. i am left with a bunch of works and one or two old sealed up 30 mL 'for injection' water vials.
like this;
if i do it quickly and cleanly, it it possible to store some of this water in one or two of my sterile (still in their wrapper) syringes?
or is this small exposure to the elements a bacteria risk? how about overnight, possibly boiled the following day before use?
any ideas? i'm happy to just use the vials i have left once and throw the rest out, but i like having the peace of mind of clean waters,and if i could save what i have, it would be handy to stretch it over a few days or something.
i only IV sporadically, not daily or even weekly most of the time. so it is no big loss if the consensus is that it is too risky.
any knowledge would be appreciated
