Stories of ingesting the wrong drug by accident?

Yeah, I once erm... forgot there was Crack in my ghetto smoking contraption, mixed in with tobacco. Thought it had all been blasted, but no; I added a dose of Fentanyl, more tobacco and lit.

Kids, that's the story of how I Met The Accidental Quasi-Speedball.

Ooooh, a fun one to mention;
I tend to store my drugs in solution, then volumetrically dose.
I had 2 vials of 5-MeO-DALT, labelled at 15mg/10ml and 150mg/10ml.
Discovered the labels were on the wrong vials when I tried 20ml of the first solution, expecting minor effects.
300mg did not provide minor effects.

Well- told story about my riot grrrl buddies getting invited back to a party which they decided to leave after scooping up a pile (almost an eighth, from memory) of 'cocaine'. They got a taxi over and presented their haul. It didn't look right at all, but I was fucked and wanted to get more fucked, so I racked up a Hollywood line - I was young and dumb - and waited.

I'd never taken ketamine before that day, but within minutes I knew what I'd done. Good night. :)

While reagent kits are useful, human error/stupidity isn't something they really address. =D

I do remember a friend vaping EPD instead of the 1,2-DEP next to it...

I once drunk a 'normal' cup of tea thinking it was a decaffeinated tea. Fuckin' hell! I just had to ride it out and hope 4 the best; lucky I was fine the next day

Jesus thank God you were ok :)

Could have been worse, you could have drank a class of regular coke thinking it was diet.....then you'd have been truly fucked.... You'd probably never fully recover :)

Surely it's the other way round with coke? Artificial sweeteners much more harmful than sugar imo.

You fucking nutta ;) same thing happened to one of the lads at work, didnt make it out tho unfortunately. RIP Mr T

My old house mate accidentally put ketamine rather than mdma in a bomb they made for me and my body just went really numb and I had quite a boring night. That's about it.

That's strange... not what you said 6 years ago.

Ket does smoke in a spliff with weed & tobacco, it's not recommended to try it.

It was ketamine, it's horrible to smoke, but it works & it works a lot more than oral dosing it does. The speed didn't seem to do much smoked, was overpowered by the k-hole. The ket didn't do much oral either, then it was overpowered by the speed.

I thought they were weak mdma pills cut with speed & filler after oral dosing. I knew they were dodgy pills, but they were speedy & they were cheap, it was a long time ago, I was young & foolish, I just never realised there was so much ket in them. People say mdma is impossible to smoke too, but it's not, it's just harsh.

I wasn't expecting ket before I smoked it, otherwise I wouldn't have tried it. Thankfully it was short lived.

To clarify, I smoked a very small amount in a bong and whilst it "worked" it would also have been physically impossible to get any more into me if I tried. I can think of nothing on this Earth that I have tried to smoke which is more stupidly painful. Pretty sure I described it as like taking a cheesegrater to one's lungs. Not just uncomfortable but so painful the body reacts reflexively to expunge it from the system instantly. I'm sure it would be somewhat less insanely brutal in a spliff but add in genuinely unsmokable (cos it simply won't burn) amphetamine plus all the filler and binder from any given pill and it still sounds kinda unlikely to me to be honest.

Incidentally, MDMA is very easy to smoke. It runs just dandy on the foil and isn't in the least bit harsh. Speedy, yes. A bit full-on tastewise, yes. Harsh, no.

And don't even get me going on the complete identicality of Coca-Cola and Pepsi ;)

I didn't say it was good or something I'd want to repeat, but it was an unexpected k-hole. The tobacco & weed helped it to burn, possibly made it less brutal, maybe any filler in the pill helped. They were white 'bulldog' pills, by the way, would be about 10 years ago now, maybe longer.

Bigger mystery is why people were putting ketamine in pills when it hardly works at all orally.

And there's no way that Pepsi is identical to Coca-Cola, there's no coca in Pepsi, it's just cola.

There no "coca" in Coca-Cola either and hasn't been for well over 100 years. They stopped putting cocaine in coca cola not long after its invention after they realised that far from being a harmless panacea cocaine was actually just a teeny bit addictive. They switched to caffeine and it's been the same ever since. They just never bothered changing the name. I think there is definitely a taste difference between Pepsi and coke though.

Also I would disagree that artificial sweeteners are more harmful that sugar. Yes aspartame is a carcinogen but only if you consume a wheelbarrow full at once. Sugar however is far more insidious. The type of long term medical problems including diabetes, heart disease etc. That are caused (in part) by over consumption of sugar are the main cause of death in the western world today.

Well, you've got to die of something, haven't you? May as well be something you actually enjoy, as opposed to doing something you have to do just to get through the day. My original point still stands; fewer people are dying in war, industrial accidents, childbirth or the diseases all kids get vaccinated against nowadays. That inevitably means there will be more deaths from stupid things, precisely because people are living peacefully, working safely and mothers and babies are thriving.

Anyway, "best preserved corpse in the cemetery" isn't much of an award.
