Can I get good effects from making poppy seed tea if I use the kind from the supermarket?

Also how much will I need?

Might as well prepare your buns and muffins...

Store bought is not the way to go for poppy seed highs.

If the seeds do not look slightly dingy, then you are not going to get much of anything... Even with pounds of them.

Well, it depends really on where you're buying them. I've had completely useless and super potent seeds come from the same place. The amount you need (thus the potency of the seeds) will vary greatly from batch to batch if you don't have a steady source of the exact same seeds.

I'd say a good starting point is about 150 grams, and work your way up from there. Depending on your opiate tolerance and the strength of the seeds you have, you could need more or even less. You've given me no information to answer your question with, as no two people will get the exact same effects from the same dose of any given drug.

Like I was saying, seed potency is notorious for being wildly differential from batch to batch, even from the same source. Color of the tea is somewhat (albeit unreliable 100% of the time) a gauge of potency, bitterness is another. The tea you get should be a brownish-yellow color. If it's milky, and whitish-yellow you let the seeds sit in the water for too long. This is not a 'tea' that you steep, but an 'infusion' that you wash.

The unreliability of store bought poppy seeds (and poppy seeds in general) is a good reason to look elsewhere for cheap/legal opiate high. There are certainly cases of individuals dying from an overdose due to an unexpectedly potent batch of seeds. Why not go with pods instead? I think they're cheaper per dose, and they're not as unreliably (though the potency still varies widely)

I've gotten really potent seeds from a small mexican grocery store.
made tea with 3 pounds and was really buzzed for almost an entire day.
unfortunately it was the absolute worst opiate high ever for me; even worse then fent and I would never do that crap again either.
And it can wreak havoc on your digestive system, that was my experience and enough to never try again.
tread lightly, if at all.

I've been an addict of poppy seed tea bough from supermarkets for the better part of two years, so yes they do work. You need to find a place that sells them in bulk bins though, do NOT waste your time with pre-packaged seeds. They're useless, for the most part. And like everyone else has already stated, be VERY careful! Even I have come across a few very potent batches that probably would have killed me had I drank the same amount I usually do. It's pretty rare but it does happen. The bitterness of the tea is a fairly good indicator of how potent it's going to be, but drink it very slowly regardless.

And please be cautious of you use if you do happen to find good seeds. Just because you got it from a supermarket does not mean it's not highly highly addictive.

I've tried everything from codeine to fentanyl and poppyseed tea is the only opiate that makes me nauseous. Really, really nauseous, so be sure to pick up some snacks when you buy your seeds, keeping your stomach full will help.

Supermarket seeds are usually more blue, and aren't as strong as black seeds. But havign tried both, they still work. I bought a mix of blue/black seeds from the bulk section in the supermarket about 5 times and felt it strongly every time. If there are any asian or indian etc smaller stores in your area, check there for good seeds. But yes supermarket seeds will work, just usually not as strong.

I've tried using poppy seed from just about every single source I could find, and not once have I caught even a slight buzz from seeds. Poppy PODS however, now that's a whole different story. THAT stuff was incredible, but pretty much unavailable nowadays.

I would love to find a good source, but haven't yet.

Let's not let this turn into a source discussion please.. consider this a friendly warning, anyone asking for or discussing sources will have their posts removed and will be infracted :)
