so I have been usiing pain pills on and off for about 5 years, recently the addiction got out of control and I stoped using cold turkey, for about 2 weeks, long story short , I came accrost 30 mg roxy and used daily for 6 days, on the 7th day i quit. last night I started to feel wd's so i took half a suboxone, at 3 am, its been 36 hours since the last oxy any suggestions

I think if you quit five years of use cold turkey you can do it again after 5 days. Unless of course you don't want to quit. Saying "any suggestions" after a little story isn't really a very accurate question. Perhaps you would care to expand upon it a little and I can link you to some threads that could benefit your situation?

thanks i just been up all night not thinking clearly, new to the site and wanted some advice on stoping. I dont want to need the suboxone but i was starting to get pretty sick so i took half of a strip, was this a good idea? or will it just cause me to need more suboxone to get by

Suboxone contains buprenorphine which is another opioid that results in withdrawal upon discontinuation of use. You basically have the option of going cold turkey again, performing a taper on bupe, or performing a taper on full agonists.

Check out the OD Directory as linked in my signature and you'll find a bunch of megathreads on buprenorphine, tapering plans, and opiate withdrawal. Take some time reading through them and if you have any more specific questions you can ask them in there. You'll also find a "progress megathread" if you are looking more for moral support.

As this material has been covered extensively before I'm going to close this thread but feel free to PM me if you need any help.

Best of luck!
