I have been taking gabapentin for neuropathic pain for about four weeks, the first two weeks being 100mg 2x daily and the past two weeks being 300mg 2x daily. I'm thinking my depression has been made worse by this drug causing sudden crying spells and suicidal urges and I want to stop taking it ASAP. I'm going through a bad breakup right now and I feel like I shouldn't be quite THIS distressed as I've never experienced genuine suicidal urges before now so I'm thinking it's the gabapentin making it worse than it has to be and I want off of it immediately. Am I likely to experience withdrawals if I stop taking it today even though this isn't a high dosage? What have been your experiences when stopping gabapentin or having gabapentin withdrawals? Thanks for your responses <3

With 2x300mg over ~4 weeks you should be good reducing it to 1x300 or 2x150mg a day and then maybe 100mg a day before jumping off.
People react very differently to Gabapentin but my guess is that you won't feel any serious symptoms. Maybe some rebound anxiety and/or insomnia for a few days but nothing too bad.
Talk to your doctor who prescribed it to you and just don't make yourself crazy about it.
