Bupe Stopping Buprenorphine - Is Loperamide a bad idea?

Hey all, been a LONG time since I've posted here. But I need some help. I've been on Suboxone maintenance for a long time and after trying to taper and jump off several times, 2mg/1mg/.5mg- I'm realizing that at no reasonable dose is withdrawal going to be reasonable enough to keep going to work, making a big mistake and copping dope etc.

What I'm really worried about is that I'm just going to get physically addicted to loperamide. I've taken 30mg once a day for 2 days now, and I'm taking Ducolax to hopefully avoid impaction. I'm planning on treating this like rapid bupe detoxes, like they do in treatment centers. Basically taking the highest dose first two days, and lowering the dose two days at a time from here on out. I'm not sure what kind of schedule to do this on though, because bupe withdrawal is like WAY longer lasting than other opiates. Last time I got to like day 8 and broke down. I really want to STOP taking all opiates, and loperamide is working very well right now for symptoms- but that's worrying me. No free lunches in junkie land.

Thanks in advance to any advice!

You should really lower your bupe dose before jumping off. .5mg/day is too high. Try to get to .2 or .1/mg
I've never had any lingering issues with loperamide, but I've never taken it consistently to matter.
However, I did have some success transferring to tramadol for about 8 or 9 days after tapering down my bupe dose to about .25mg/day.
