Miscellaneous Stomach contents and experience intensity

I have to ask what you meant by insufflation. I worked in the operating room so the only insufflation I'm familiar with is using gas to fill the abdomen to create room for laparoscopic surgery. I'm guessing you didn't mean it that way.
Or did I read that completely wrong?

Yeah. I think insufflation in this context is essentially jargon that is specific to recreational drug use.

For me personally, I can't say that I've noticed much of a decrease in strength of the trip a full stomach, just takes a bit longer until onset and then peak. If I take a 4-substituted tryptamine on an empty stomach I'll probably get first alerts 15-20 minutes later. On a stomach with some food content onset is typically between 20-40 minutes. I'll typically eat a light meal 1-2 hours before taking my dose, sometimes I do eat a meal then immediately drop. Then during the trip I be sure to have fresh fruit to snack on and some ice cream. On an empty stomach the peak hits me much quicker which makes it feel more intense initially, but the strength of the trip itself isn't significantly affected, just the sensation of intensity.

As a rule of thumb for any drugs taken orally, I try to eat a small, light meal ~3 hours before.
This

I don't want to experience sensation of starving while tripping, but I don't want to be hyperfocused on my gut if I ate or drank too much.

I mainly do not want to spend my tripping time on the toilet dealing with digestive movements...

Empty my bowels as best as I can, and a light meal before any psychedelic that lasts more than 1 hour or draw me into public spaces.
