I want the world
and I want it now
It is a spinning cyclops
with dirt in its eye
and powder under its nose
The grass that comforts my toes
is not free
a thousand falling skies
have crashed upon my head
and the stars that pulled it down
are dying on the asphalt
Beside me they scream
burning into our streets
viciously cut into hills
like expensive cocaine
what am i supposed to make of it now
how can i walk
when every path is littered
with the deaths of stars
i tried to sew them back
into the sky
and create a clean passage
but my thread could not restrain
the sunken pieces
once something has fallen
does it remain there forever
the herd will not answer
so i am here
under crumbled sky
unable to mend
and I want it now
