Stimulant Psychosis - Um, I'm hearing voices.

^ I wouldn't advise combining benzo's and alcohol or multiple CNS depressants unless you do an extremely small amount or have someone to watch over you. Empty bottles (pills and alcohol) could happen without any recollection along with some drama.

I think a good dose of flexeril (cyclobenzaprine - not really a sleep aid, but knocks you the fuck out)...........or even just melatonin + benadryl could help a little.,... and the second option I came up with is OTC.

1st choice solution: Take an atypical antipsychotic such as Zyprexa, Seroquel, Risperdal, or Geodon.

2nd choice solution: Take a benzodiazepine such as Xanax, Valium, Klonipin, Ativan, or Restoril.

3rd best choice solution (tie): Drink a moderate amount of alcohol OR take some Benadryl (diphenhydramine).

A combination of 1, 2, and/or 3 is also acceptable. And, finally and mostly importantly, don't take any more stimulants until you have slept this off.

Since you realize the voices are not real, you are better off than some. Good luck.

I don't think Benadryl would be a good idea, since it's mode of action is also anticholinergenic, so chances are it'll increase the voices, at least before he'll pass out (if he will). I'ld give seroquel a go, or otherwise benzo's, opiates or a little alcohol. And of course some good food and healthy drinks if you haven't had any of those in the near past.

Btw, about how much desoxypipradrol are we talking here?

I took benadryl + melatonin, and actually managed to pass out through some focused breathing.

And it was about 8 to 10mg desoxypipradrol... but I've been using adderall more or less every day for a week and a half (prescribed 2x20, was taking about 3 or 4x20 every day) and tried MDPV for the first time during this period and this was my first oral desoxy experience. When I was hearing voices on desoxy, I was just on desoxy. And I had slept the night before.

I hope that the reason I'm still hearing voices at +25, after sleeping maybe 7 hours, is that desoxy has a ridiculous elimination half life. Really hope. Because I'd like to use Nuro's strategy to get seroquel, and not actually go with real symptoms.

The voices aren't as vivid, the conspiracies' not as big. But still, lame.

Fuck dude, you do not want to be using cyclobenzaprine to knock you out. Being a muscle relaxant, it may help put you to sleep- but honestly, you could not have chosen a more fucked up substance to use as a sedative

wrong. flexeril is not approved as a sleep aid, but it is very often prescribed as such. It puts almost everyone to sleep. What is so fucked up about it? It relaxes you and makes you tired, just as this guy needs.

look all over the internet, people use it as a sleep aid all the time... it even says so on erowid.

that was my first thought when i saw that post, too. 1, 2, or 3 alone would be ok though.

What makes you say that?

I've been prescribed it for sleep, and it's done nothing but work well. Never felt one negative side effect from it

Personally, my worst fears manifest during opiate nightmares.

Oh God, they are AWFUL :| Far worse than any stimulant psychosis I've had.

I've only had stim psychosis mildly, such as disorientation, forgetting where I am, hallucinations such as thinking I'm in a different room the one I'm actually in.

Weed and alcohol. was my saviour.

If the voices are SERIOUSLY bothering you and you can't get your hands on any benzo's, visit a doctor to get some seroquel.
Claim some mild psychotic symptoms - but no too much, you don't want to overdo it and you want to appear clueless about drugs. Furthermore, you want to appear like someone who doesn't abuse substances.

Well, strategy one with the psychiatrist was "I'm hearing voices" and they almost nearly sent me to a medical institution for an eval / overnight stay.

At that point, I just dropped "I lied, I used a catecholine uptake inhibitor." He first was going to prescribe some antianxiety benzodiazepene, but I suggested seroquel "because someone knowledgeable on a drug forum suggested that it was the best choice for countering this psychosis."

He liked the idea. I guess honesty works in liberal places.

So I took some about 5 minutes ago, and now I'm waiting for it to kick in.

Much thanks.

This thread is getting a lot of attention here and that's good, but I think it's better suited for the healthy living forum. I'm going to move it over there. Hopefully it will continue to get covered well.

I don't have any specific advice for you. I mean you said it yourself you know the problem is stimulant psychosis. The only thing you can do is lay off the stimulants and try to sleep. Sleeping meds might not be a bad idea. A benzo might be what you need right now,

OTC sleeping meds are absolute garbage...

Don't know about anyone on this board, but after a heavy stimulant binge/comedown...I feel 10x worse the next morning if I take tylenol PM opposed to just eating, drinking water, vitamins, and just laying in bed without the fake sleep.

After OTC sleep aids, I get anxious, dry mouth and fingers, bad breath, heart palps.....I'd rather not sleep.

ok, i gave this some memory jogging and remembered back a couple years. i would wad up bread balls and attempt to digest ,your stomach is actually feeding on your stomach lining, as well as sleep deprivation can be a good indication of a hallucinatory state. Everyone on here had good advice so chill out eat some benzos drink a pint. it will pass.

Well, it's been a while since I studied pharms, and I'm mostly familiar with European and Canadian prescriptions, but I don't like cyclebenzaprine for a few reasons:
1) At high doses, 50-120 mg, it gets fucked up. Really scary and really reality twisting.
2) I'm always cautious of tricyclics, they interfere with a lot and they often have negative side-effects.

In a pharmaceutical world where buprion is used to treat nicotine addiction, I guess I can't be surprised that benzaprine is prescribed in certain places as a sleep-aid..

Glad it worked! Out of curiosity, what part of the world are you in?

Try to just accept the nightmare. Let yourself realize that nothing matters, stop caring about it all. Once you can accept something it stops tormenting you.
