Stimulant cross-tolerance?

Alright guys,

I was wondering how cross-tolerance with stimulants manifests itself. The reason I'm asking is that I have found, recently, that I have to use large quantities of caffeine (400-600mg minimum) in order to feel even the slightest of effects from it, whereas a couple of months ago this dose would have me in a jittering wreck. Could this potentially be the result of occasional (twice weekly) use of modafinil and ethylphenidate (a ritalin analogue)?

Yeah it could be. I've been taking Adderall daily for the past 5 years and I feel virtually nothing from caffeine anymore.
