Still unclear about DMT Machine use

Hello folks,

I've read multiple posts across multiple forums, all of which lay out the use of the DMT machine along the lines of "it's very simple," and then proceed to muddy the waters further with inexact language. Specifically regarding where the DMT goes. "You put it on top of the steel wool." On top of the plug at the mouth of the neck, when the bottle is pointing up, or 'on top' of the plug through the hole in the bottom, where the neck would be pointing down? Is the idea to create a pile on steel wool or to spread it throughout? I don't understand how 1) if you put it through the bottom of the bottle, so that the neck is pointing down, you can be sure to get the DMT (a sticky sort of stuff) all onto the steel wool, and then how, once you've heated the steel wool, the (boiling hot) DMT wouldn't go straight into your mouth; or else how 2) if you put it 'on top' of the steel wool through the mouth of the bottle, so that the neck is pointing up, the DMT doesn't fall out when you turn the bottle upside down to vaporize it and / or you don't end up putting the flame directly on the DMT, which I thought was to be avoided; and finally 3) if (in whichever of those two alternatives) you're supposed to be 'feathering' the steel wool through the glass, along the neck of the bottle (isn't it difficult to get it hot enough...) or else applying the flame to the steel wool through the mouth (...but people seem to suggest you don't want to apply a direct flame to the steel wool as well??).

Sorry to be pedantic, I just can't find a clear answer and I expect I'm not the only person who's left wondering.

Stand your bottle upright ether by holding it or on a flat table top, put a large amount of DMT on top of the Steel Wool, Use a lighter to JUST heat and melt it. Just enough to melt it into the wool... The trick is to not be stingy.. I put 100mg and melt it enough on the wool so the DMT cant fall off...

If you want to break through, it is best to take a hit, hold it in for a while, then take another hit and hold it in,, repeat until you cant no more... then try it again. That's if you can ... Blast off time...

Remember not to let the flame touch the DMT, hover 1/2 inch over the DMT, You'll want to vaporize it.... if you do have the flame touching the DMT you'll burn it and the smoke will be harsh.

The way I've always done it is to place 60-100mg on top of the wool then hold a lighter (sometimes one in each hand to speed it up) around the neck and next to the material. You don't want any smoke coming off at this point but it should melt into the wool and then dry quickly once you take the heat away. Now you can turn it upside down and get ready to use it.

While you can definitely do the entire thing yourself I've found it's a little easier when trying to break through to have someone else hold the lighter under the bottleneck for you. That way they can gauge how far away from the DMT the flame is and you won't have as high a risk burning it or not vaporizing enough to get a good dose. While they're holding the flame you only need to breath in slowly, since the angle will cause the vapor to fill the chamber anyway. Once the chamber is decently filled clear it and hold, then repeat. Another reason it's good to have someone else working the flame is that by the third hit it may become very difficult to hold the machine and lighter, so another person can help you get the full dose.
