So I have adhd and bipolar 1, and I usually take aderall and seroquel every day. 30mg of adderall xr in the morning a 75-100mg of seroquel to knock me out at knight. Well yesterday my doc decided to switch my aderall dose to a 75mg stratera, no more aderalll... Fuck! But he upped my night dose of seroquel to 300mg! I thought that thing would be like an a-bomb... Wrong! Instead of sleeping, im stuck here giggling like a lil school girl. No sleep in sight.

So I guess my question is; Is this natural behavior for a pill switch or high dose sedative, or is this just plain unatural?

Seroquel at higher doses acts more as a drug to treat schizophrenia/bi-polar.. At doses under ~100mg it is more effective at a sleep aid. Though for sleep at any dose it is pretty crappy. Have you ever tried Remeron?

It could be that the strattera is lasting longer than your adderal used to, and your higher seroquel dosage is having kinda a "paradoxical reaction" instead doing what you are used to.

This is something you need to discuss with your doctor. Why did he switch you to strattera? Were you abusing your adderal?

Seroquel is an antipsychotic and not so much a sleeping pill. It may be used to get to sleep but it's not a desirable sleeping medication.

I would go to a new doctor; clearly you are experiencing insomnia as a direct result of two very shitty medications (strattera and seroquel are two medications I would never use myself).
