so ive shot oxy a few times. wont do it again cuz i dont want pill binder getting into my system & its not much better than oral use anyways...
I used a spoon after a mate used the same spoon with a re-used needle of his.
its not the spoon he usually uses which is good cuz ive read that hepatitis can only stay alive outside the body for upto 4 days so theres a good chance he hadnt used it for that long.
anyways before I used it he put the spoon in boiling water for 6 mins.
my mate got tested & thankfully he doesnt have hep c but the test might have been done ages ago & he might have it now.
So basically im worried i may have got hep. it was a stupid idea to use the same spoon i know. but i thought him boiling it would kill the hep. I didnt know & I later read on the internet its not that easy to kill.
I think someone on BL here said boiling for 15 mins. but that was just one person comment.
i got tested for hep B & C & im fine but the window period wasnt considered.
I think the window period is 6-10 weeks. I got the test done at 8 weeks so theres a slight chance i might have it.
but im just wondering if u can boil a spoon long enough to kill hep & how long for?
my mate uses a spoon on top of the spoon he puts the oxy on to crush it. Im also curious if i was to eat out of that spoon whether i could get hep. Can eating hep give u the illness or is it only passed blood to blood?
my mum gave me a razor to use to shave. it was her b/fs. I told her im not using that incase it has his blood on it. cuz now im all paranoid about stuff like that now. how long would u need to boil a razer or toothbrush to kill hep.
thanks for any advice. it's unlikely i have it. im just wondering how long u have to keep a spoon or whatever in boiling water before it kills hep. even more specifically hep c
I'll always bring my own spoons next but i thought boiling it for 6 mins would kill it for sure. now i know the risk i took. im not more educated & it wont happen again. it was just a mistake cuz i was over at my mates & i didnt have my own spoon.
