Opioids steralizing a spoon

we are out of spoons.. could boiling it in water for 5 minutes and then using 70% rubbing alcohol do the trick? as in no chance for bacteria

I clean them as I would any other silverware (soap and water) and then wipe them out with an alcohol prep pad. I really don't think boiling anything is necessary.

If you want to be safe chucking it in pot of boiling water for a little while won't hurt ( unless you pick it up shortly after )

I just use soap and water and wipe out with alcohol pad like one of the prior posters.

I use a blowtorch to blast mine for about 20 seconds and then let it cool down. Obviously I heat it up from under-neath. Doesn't take long and is sure to kill everything living on the spoon. All the other methods would work great too, I just like using the torch
