A few people have been clamouring for Stephen Fry to prosecuted for "historical drug abuse" after he admitted using drugs a few years ago. Sounds daft but I bet the best minds the police have to offer (which won't be that good lets face it) will be working their single brain cell on this.

Daily Mail readers by any chance? Any good lawyer should be able to get him off the hook. If he's not caugt red handed in possesion, the whole story could have been a fabrication of his deranged mind during one of his bipolar episodes. Surely its all bout solid evidence and proof. Fry was going to write an autobiograohy about his cocaine adiction, if indeed thats what he was into. With pressure like this, that could very frustratingly prevent the publicaton of said book. :!

Why stop and start with Fry though, david bowie, elton john both notorious coke heads in their day. Countless other celebrities too. It was rumoured that cocaine was big in snooker for a while. Jimmy white was found with some in his hotel room, and got nothing more than a caution.

I thought what he had to say regarding paedophilia in relation to this was far more interesting than the routine (and fair enough) police bashing you are determined to turn this in to Ismene. Check this link and offer an opinion. Because BL is waaaaaay fucking short of opinion and intellectualism from what I've seen lately.

To be honest when I saw Frys interview where he mentions "dependence" and "it only hurt me" - it really put me off any of his other thoughts on the matter/child abuse. If you can't handle your high don't blame it on the drug.

If he'd had the balls to just say "Cocaine is fucking ace", I'dve had a bit more time for him.

from what i gather his habit got completely out of control. Obviously he's less likely to see it as fucking ace, than if he had manged to keep a lid on things. Fry doesnt lack balls, that series he did on homesexuality in countries where its discrimnated aginst took huge courage, the filming of the series upset him so deeply that he attempted to take his own life again.

But they don't do they Ismene, which is why we "idolise" people like Bill Hicks. But in the meantime, check what he said re Jimmy Savile etc and tell me that's at least not an "interesting" thing to dare say in this climate.

Are you coming to us live from somewhere in South East Asia shm?

I saw the interview on Newsnight, he was saying that he didn't think all girls who sleep with rock stars at 14 view themselves as victims. I suppose there must be some difference between being shagged by a rock star and a creature like Jimmy Saville tho.

Yeah I'm in Malaysia Ismene, Penang to be precise and it's fucking great except the monsoon that's keeping me in my hotel right now, hence the manic posting on BL.

I think its probably only later on life, that they might come to conclusion that they were a victim. Some girls are desperate to loose their virginty at that age and what better notch to put on your bed post than to some very good looking, highly desirable, sexy rock star.

Point is MDB, Fry said they are now in their 50's and still don't see themselves as victims. Hence why I say this is an interesting opinion to air.

Cyclothymic lightweight.

No, that's not true. Cyclothymia is more intense than less than one out of ten of you can ever imagine. It's just less immmediately severe than other strains.
