black and white dots float above us

buzzing infinitely quicker than we can hear

our messages play dot to dot in the airwaves

one wrong move and

it all goes wrong

but it doesnt end there

uncorrupted and all the way straight from A through to Z

down the phone line or bouncing off transmission towers

it takes more than we can see for me to hear your words

back and forth the down the dotted line

paths are retraced over and over before the phone hits the receiver again

if there were this much involved in face to face conversation im not sure id put the effort in

pick up the phone and put it down again

so much goes on in between for our voices to meet eachothers ears

face to face if i were able to read your body language

things would be much less complicated.

I liked this and can definitely relate. The problem with technology is that it can warp everything. It can twist everything into whatever we want it to be. Human interaction is just as much harder as it is easier.
