Tapering Starting to taper suboxone

Long time lurker. Just made an account. I'm starting to taper from 8mg suboxone a day. Been on it for 5 years. Started at 24mg a day and over the years have got down to 8mg a day. I plan on tapering quickly. Just need a little support and advice. I have a taper schedule and plan to stick to it. I know it's going to suck but I'm ready to get my life back. Tired of never being happy. I'll keep up with this post and let everyone know how I'm doing and how much I'm able to cut down weekly.

Why are you planning to taper quickly? Quick tapers generally don't end too well, particularly not when one has been dependent for so long as you have.

What kind of advice were you interested in?

Take your time Sugareeismydog you wanna only do this once. There are lots of great sub taper threads and great moderators and people here with good advise and when you finally jump theres lots of info here about comfort meds to help make it as painless as possible best of luck!
